New York style pizzeria, reported to be fully vegan from late 2019 onwards. Menu changes daily and always includes vegan pizzas, with original combinations such as shroom-ben (mushroom rueben), vegan chili and tater tots, and vegan chix parm in addition to more classic versions like spinach and roasted tomatoes. Or ask for the vegan mexi-melt stromboli. Uses vegan cheese, and has vegan ranch and sour cream dressings. Mora also operates a mobile food truck in Fort Myers - check webpage for location updates. Re-located from 1220 W University Ave, Gainesville. Reported closed March 2022.

Food was great, would definitely go back. It’s a little hard to find and the location is a little odd but worth a try 👏

Really great pizza , vegan - Edit
It’s a good truck, you need to order in advance, this isn’t a place you pull up to and order food.
Read moreThat being said, they respond super quick to calls and texts, they have ur food ready promptly. Food is beyond amazing, you wouldn’t believe it’s vegan
Pros: Great crust, Vegan

Horrendous business model - Edit
Ordering is a mission over text - then they don’t read their texts and don’t fulfill your whole order correctly. Their hours are very limited. Their directions are confusing and they’re highly overpriced.

Good Pizza! - Edit
This truck is in a little bit of a weird location, kind of hard to find. Pizza was good and unique! They use Daiya cheese. (follow @crazyveganfood for veg food in south Florida!😄)

Everything is always delicious - Edit
This restaurant is now 100% vegan. I have come here a couple of times and I have never been disappointed. There are always pizzas on rotation and you can also order fresh slices or whole pies. There are usually daily specialty pizzas that are super unique, from kimchi pizza to vegan conch fritter pizza. They even have dessert pizza! The battered wings are amazing and you need to order them. I will definitely come back again.

Holy Stromboli - Edit
Update: Mora is doing delivery only service in Gainesville on select (not set schedule) nights. Follow the Instagram account for hours of operation and daily menu.
Read moreHave yet to try the actual pizza because the Stromboli is so alluring. Got a mean (vegan) Caesar salad too. All of that being said the interior is the same as the last business that was in there and could use some love. The tiny waitress however, is the best part of the whole experience.
Pros: Great food , Friendly people
Cons: Cramped interior

I won't come back - Edit
This happened at the vegfest in Tallahassee:
Read moreThe pizzas taste good, but the cooking conditions were far from desirable. The cooks were not wearing gloves and were both taking orders and handling food without washing their hands in between. The waiting time was quite long. They kept taking orders without realizing they didn't have slices for everyone. After a good 30 minutes we decided to take the slices half-cooked and, thank god, we did because their generator caught on fire (we were right next to it and it could have burned us easily). Needless to say, they didn't have an extinguisher and another man from another food booth had to help them put out the fire.
I tried to communicate my criticisms to the managers via instagram, but they chose to ignore me and blocked me. However good the pizzas were, I wouldn't eat at this place again.

The best vegan pizza in Gainesville - Edit
We found this place after it had only been open three days and we are so glad we did! The vegan pizza was phenomenal and the owner was so friendly. They have different vegan specials daily, and we got to sample them all! All were to die for, including the garlic knots!

Lots of potential - Edit
Mona’s Pizza has some of the most unique vegan pizza options I’ve ever seen. They sell vegan slices at $5/ea and large pies for $25. They have a couple non-vegan salads, and garlic knots - unsure if vegan or not. They also have one of the darkest, haphazard interiors I’ve seen. The interior is entirely black, and some of the seating areas are hardly seating areas. There’s was also one person staffed - so getting one slice to-go took a few minutes. The menu is printed B&W and also scratched onto a chalk board. I took my pizza to go and was offered it on two flimsy paper plates. Which I then proceeded to drop most of on the floor... wish they had proper to-go boxes! Again - the food is good! But with a bit more put into it, this could be a good place to eat.

Cons: Dark interior, Understaffed

Thank you for your response, we just opened less then a week ago, currently waiting for my muralist to repaint the interior they were behind on schedule from a painting event out of the country. Glad you enjoyed the food, thanks!
