Best place to eat in Hobart - Edit
I think the vegan options at this place were wonderful. Really big serves so don’t need as much as you think! Staff were kind. Food was delicious.

Best tofu dish since ages ago - Edit
Generally prefer to support fully vegan/vego establishments, but none were open, and the reviews of this place are so positive we thought we've give Monsoon a go. The menu does indeed have a separate vegan section with a good number of options that it would take a few visits to work through. If I lived here, I'd do just that. I ordered two starters - the tofu skewers is something I'm going to be planning another trip to Hobart for!

My fave go to place in HBT - Edit
Family owned & operated. Very knowledgeable about vegan option with a separate menu. Lots of faux meats. Their food is amazing and very much worth the visit. Book a table because space is limited.

Delicious meal, excellent service and beautiful space - Edit
I had a stir fried veg and tofu dish which they made for me, with steamed rice. It was delicious, just a bit pricey though. The staff were sweet and the place was charming and has an outdoor area too.

I always come here when I'm in Hobart and I like it for special occasions because it's not crazy expensive like some of the degustation places down at the dock.

Loved it! - Edit
We were super impressed with the dishes here. Lots of flavour and variety. We had vegan calamari, dumplings and satay tofu skewers as a starter then shared a Penang curry with tempeh and veggies. It was the best Penang I've had in years. Would highly recommend!

Disappointed but has potential - Edit
My experience here was not good but I don’t want to put people off with a bad review as there was a big selection of vegan options and I’m sure the others were nicer than what I got. I ordered the BBQ bento and I would not recommend that. The waiter didn’t know what was going to be in it but I took a punt based on the couple of things he mentioned, particularly the tempura veg. There was a small serving of tempura veg, small salad and some rice. The other item was mock duck which I never would have ordered and personally found it really disgusting. My husband (an omni) thought it was gross too. Some might like it if you’re really into mock meat! I’ve learned my lesson about ordering when I’m not 100% sure what would be served and on reflection it seems pretty poor that he couldn’t tell me exactly what I was ordering. A bit pricey too.

Tasty as - Edit
Very nice Thai fusion food. I had the BBQ Bento - my partner had the mock chicken curry and his parents had some Korean dishes which I dont remember what they were but everything was most delicious. A little bit on the expensive side, especially the starters... but other than that no real complaints.

Great fusion cuisine - Edit
This was my second time at this restaurant (and would have been my third but for them getting quite busy on Friday nights!), and the food was as awesome as I remembered. Great restaurant that is operated by the Thai Veggie Hutt, also in Hobart, but catering also for non-vegetarians at this location. Great food, great service, and a great experience. I will be back!
