Meh

What can I say. Awesome ambience. Decently friendly staff. But the food was just… meh. I thought it was boring.

I ordered a curry and got it… and I was surprised by the small portion size. 😩 Usually it’s like wow I can give half of it to my SO and still be satisfied (I’m a tiny human) but here it was like… is this it?

I ordered a salad instead of rice too and got what I felt was a tiny amount… like if I’d gotten rice, surely I’d gotten more of it.. I hope. Lol.

Anyway. It just felt boring. Uninspired. Lack of love and affection / effort. Tough to describe. Sucks cause I LOVED the seating and pleasant ambience (them cozy couches and dim lighting; YUM. Tastier than the food, LOL.)

The curry was just… alright. It had a shitload of tofu, TINY amount of sauce (like a curry should be drenched in sauce in my opinion) like 2-3 pieces of sweet potato, carrot and regular potato ([censored] was the carrot and sweet potato tasty tho) and like an insane amount of tofu. Felt weird. I love my curries with a shitload of veg but to be fair it said what it contained with on the meny, so… I guess I expected some more carrot and sweet potato. lol).

And the tofu was just… plain no seasoning. Huge chunks. I love tofu as it is but where was the effort? Marinade? Enough sauce to cover the huge pieces? Wtf.

Anyway. They had vegan miso soup which I LOVED. It was great. Zero complaints. And I just love the fact that they had vegan miso soup. [censored]. It was so good. The highlight of the meal tbh and it was just regular miso soup, lol.

My SO had the poke bowl and it was… tiny. He’s a big boy. It looked so funny with the tiny plate. lol.

And it was just a mix of regular poke bowl stuff. Decent sauce. Just plain… ordinary poke bowl. Again, boring as [censored]. Felt like I could have made both the dishes better, like twice or triple amount better on my own. [censored]. Grr. I hate it cause I loved the ambience so much there but I doubt I will return due to the plain-ass food. I expect more from asian stuff, I think Swedish food in general is so [censored] boring and zzz in general so I have zero expectations there. But this? Hnngh. I just feel frustrated. It was rather expensive too (150 SEK for a meal) considering the tiny portion sizes. I feel zero disappointment just… emptiness. So that’s something at least. LOL.

At least they switched the rice for me without hassle💗the service was good. And all the stuff with tofu in it was automatically vegan (I asked).

3/5.

Pros: Ambience / cozy vibe / dim lighting, Decently friendly staff, The amount of vegan options and vegan miso soup

Cons: Price, Taste / lack of love, Portion sizes
