Great service and a lovely ryokan - Edit
The servers were very knowledgeable, and made sure to explain what everything was before the meal, that the soup and miso and soy sauce had no fish dashi, that they replaced the grapefruit jelly with real grapefruit to avoid the gelatin etc. It was nice that they also served a balanced meal with protein from tofu and beans as well as lots of different veggies and fruits. It didn’t feel at all like it was a hassle for them or they threw some basic veggies together at the last minute.
