Loved my vegan lentil kofte - Edit
Everything was clearly labeled vegan or vegetarian. Lots of options too. I’m always happy when they have something else besides falafels (but they don’t sell falafels here).
Read moreI got a vegan lentil kofte with harissa sauce and rice pilaf, with a side of grape leaves. The grape leaves were especially tart, just the way I like it!
Pros: Unique cuisine, Tasty, Friendly service
Cons: Under construction. Needs some physical barrier., More vegan sauces. Most were vegetarian., Would be nice to have a Beyond/Impossible kofte.

Really Good Food - Edit
The family went for dinner. Lots of options and clearly labeled what vegetarian and what’s vegan. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The lentil koftë was very good. We had the meze plate, a lavash wrap and the Turkish pizza with the feta cheese. All were very good. For the meze plate, tried, the hummus, roasted eggplant and the yogurt cucumber salad. Very good. Side of dolmas also delicious. Topped off with baklava for dessert, excellent. Not too sweet or sticky. Will definitely be going back.

Delicious, Nutritious, and Friendly Owner - Edit
Mito’s is a new restaurant in Pomona and it is absolutely delicious! Several vegan options and the owner, Mito, and his staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. The vegan köfte is delicious and is the staple of the options- you can order it in plate, wrap, or “zaza” form which is a Turkish take on pizza. The vegan zaza is a must try, and only $6! The dolmas are very fresh, and the salads are too. Order the vegan harissa sauce to go with the dolmas instead of the yogurt sauce. Unfortunately the baklava is not vegan- Mito said he tried it with coconut oil and it was too heavy. I suggested vegan butter and he said it has too many additives, so if someone can think of another healthier alternative to make the baklava vegan he would be all ears! I will be going here at least once a week!
