Houze of vegan

The price was reasonable when ordering online via Grab. The food was fine overall, though I think some dishes were a bit mushy.

Expected a lot more

I came here based on all the great reviews but sadly I wasn't as impressed. It's very difficult to find at first as well. It was very quiet when I went there so the food arrived promptly. I ordered the vegan caesar salad which wasn't a caesar salad but a regular salad with dressing, the wonton soup and garden vegetables. I found all the dishes to be very bland which was disappointing as visually they look great. I'm aware no onion and garlic is used, but think they need to work on adding some flavour to their dishes.

Pros: Fully vegan

Fully vegan but fully disappointing

Nice to have a fully vegan place where everything is safe to order. It’s on the third floor of the shopping mall and well signposted. There was a queue to order, prices were very reasonable, we got a main, 3 sides, 3 drinks and a dessert for under £20. You are given a buzzer which goes off when your food is ready to collect - unfortunately this means the whole cafe is full of loud beeping noise. Our buzzer went off but only a third of our order was ready so we had to take it back to the table and wait for the buzzer to sound again which was frustrating, it wouldn’t be too hard for them to implement table service instead.

I ordered Vietnamese spring rolls and golden fries, with a brown sugar boba drink, and my husband ordered a pumpkin soup dish and satay skewers. The spring rolls seemed to be filled only with mashed taro and no other vegetables which was disappointing as they lacked flavour and texture, and the dipping sauce served with them had a horrible and cheap taste. The fries were limp and chewy. The pumpkin soup looked nothing like the picture, it was 95% noodles, very little broth or vegetables. We ordered a slice of taro cheesecake to try but I had to spit it out as the texture was so rubbery and disconcerting, like chewing an eraser.

Overall quite a disappointing meal.

Hard to find, worth it

The staff was warm and welcoming, portions are quite big and very good. When on the third floor, take a right, right, straight until reaching the wall, then left.

Pros: very flavourful , warm room, warm team

Cons: could be a bit more pedas, hard to find, would have appreciated a bit more cucumber

Tasty

We had the home style curry
Satay sticks the blue bubble tea with almond milk and taro cake and loved everything but the cake
The curry was a generous serve the satay was tasty and the bubble tea was nice - the cake was small serving and tasted like glue

Pros: Tasty curry , Good serving size , Vegan

Cons: Cake was like glue , Cake was expensive for size

Best food in Kuala Lumpur

Update: I did come back a year later and it was still amazing! Really worth coming there. They even had doubled the size of their place in the mean while.
Franilla Oreo this time, perfect with the Fried Wantan Soup.

Defenitely coming back here. If not only for the franilla chocolate!
Had a great time here and food is very cheap. Also very kind staff! Really a hidden gem😊

Very tasty good price

Glad we made it here, was a little difficult to find, but so worth it. I got the nasi lemak a d my bf got the sweet sour tofu. Tofu was soft silken kind, not a huge fan, but he still ate it all, so I'd say it was ok haha. Nasi lemak was amazing though. Good price.

Fave in KL

Great food, fast service and cute decor. All vegan malay food that comes with a drink and simple dessert. Everything was tasty. The smoothie was definitely more of a milkshake, but it was so yummy! Will definitely be back when I return to KL

Pros: Good price, Nice ambiance, Tasty food

Yes yes yes yes!!!

So so so good!! Staff super friendly. A bit hard to find but once you get to the mall its marked. They close the kitchen at 8:15 and are pretty strict about it.

Casual little eatery. Highly recommend the Satay skewers 🎉

Pros: Good food, Friendly staff, Casual and cheap

Quick and Tasty

This restaurant is on the top floor of a mall. We were the only guests when we visited for an early dinner (5-6pm) on a weekday. Staff bring menus and an ordering slip (and pencil) to your table. You mark your choices on the paper, then take it up to the counter to place your order and pay. They bring the food to your table when it's ready.

We shared a couple of the snacks, and really enjoyed them. The satay Malaysia didn't look too appetising to me with its weird strands on it, but actually the taste and texture were really good. The satay sauce was fantastic too, with a good nutty flavour and decent but not overwhelming chilli kick.

The fried vege yuba maki rolls were even better. The rolls were quite crispy and the meaty texture inside was great. We liked the occasional crunch of water chestnuts. The dipping sauce here was just ok, we preferred dunking them in the satay sauce.

For my main, I had the nasi lemak special, which was blue rice, pickled cucumber, roasted peanuts, mushroom bits, poppadoms, and some sauce, with a pot of potato curry on the side. It was a fantastic array of tastes and textures. Everything was nicely seasoned, but not too spicy. I would definitely order this again.

My partner had the asam laksa soup and was not so keen. It had pineapple in it, which he had overlooked on the menu, and it was quite a dominant flavour which he felt didn't enhance the dish at all, unfortunately. The noodles were a bit overcooked. The fishy tofu was excellent though. Even though it wasn't the dish for him, he said he would happily return and try something else.

Good food

Restaurant is located in a shoppingmall, which isn’t really cozy, but the restaurant itself is nice. Staff is friendly, lots of vegan choices, food was tasty but a little dry. Would still recommend.😄

Okey

3 stars because it a fully vegan restaurant (it’s in a “lost mall”, all other shops are closed but it’s still open!) but the food wasn’t the best unfortunately. We ordered the curry ramen (doesn’t tastes much like ramen, was a bit disappointed), the spring rolls (a bit too deep fried) and the spaghetti aglio e olio (nothing special). The staff was friendly, but would go there again.

Paradise: no alcohol, no onion, no garlic.

The building is a little old, but the restaurant is nicely decorated, full of teddy bears. :)
Food is delicious and staff is very nice!
The only bad point was the dessert. It was tasty, but very tiny for the price.
Totally recommended!!

Not great experience

Located in a strange, run down mall that seems mostly closed up. The cafe is on the top floor. Cafe itself was nice but our assam laksas tasted really poor - not fresh and but greasy. Maybe we were unlucky with our order but I feel there are lots of other places nicer in KL.

Nice snacks

Honestly a bit difficult to find. And the "mall" is a bit out of shape. But the cafe in the 3rd floor is good. Staff is very nice. Will probably get lunch or dinner here as well.

Comfy and friendly, decent food

This is the first vegan place I’ve tried in Malaysia, the aesthetic is very cool! The little teddies and plants are a nice touch. Ordered the Loh Yee Mee Soup and Hainanese Rice, both were great although I preferred the rice! Very friendly service and cozy place.

Didn't live up to expectations

We thought that the menu looked good but after sitting down, the menu with the full descriptions was disappointing - almost all the dishes have deep-fried beancurd. We ordered one rice dish and one noodles and they were both mostly that (rice/noodles) with only small amounts of vegetables and tofu/beancurd. The flavours were fine and if only the quantities of the different ingredients was a healthier balance we would have been very happy.

So happy I stumbled across Minf Hauze. Good location, Not far from Butik Bintang.

3rd floor. Close to Raja Chusan and Butik Bintang monorail MTR stations. They now have a sign on the printers window, you'll see it when you step out of lift.

I love this place. The music is relaxing, food is great value, healthy and tasty and they're fully into fairness for animals. Friendly service and good location.

I've eaten here 5 times on this two week trip and never disappointed. I've paid 50% more at other places, for similar dishes.
They even have brown rice.

Pros: Prices very reasonable, Tasty and healthy, Near Raja Chulan Monorail and Butik Bintang

Cons: Easier to find now, Close at 8.30pm, Lights too bright.

Unfassbar lecker

Good place.

It’s located in a small old style mall. There are signs guiding to the place (located at 3rd floor). It offers variety of local food (not only). Taste is good and nice staff however quite processed food.
