So good, so consistent, so accommodating, and such great service. This is one of the best breakfast spots in LA for vegans and non vegans alike.

New favourite spot in LA - Edit
I Loved Millie’s.
Read moreThis is the exact place I so miss since being vegan- generous, friendly, community orientated , affordable , diner style and really really good. Most of these places don’t have a single vegan item on the menu but Millie’s has two whole pages of vegan options!
Also, just not hipsterey at all- the whole local community is here and it’s packed, because it’s really good and really fairly priced.
The menu is diner style- so don’t expect quinoa bowls - go for brunch or lunch, there’s tons of outside seating, service is really friendly and efficient.
Loved this and will be back .
Pros: Large vegan menu , Affordable , Outside seating

Not good - Edit
Not sure how so many people had good experiences here. I got the vegan mess and it was awful. The whole thing was undercooked, cold, there was so much raw garlic throughout the egg. They don’t do hash browns on weekends (why..) so I had to get the rosemary potatoes. I can’t stress enough how bad they were. It’s as if they were sitting in a container of boiling water for hours. Complete mush and flavorless. So disappointing…my mom got the non vegan French toast and loved it but they forgot the bananas we added ($) and didn’t include maple syrup.😡

There’s a reason this place is always busy - Edit
My partner and I came here while in town for a music festival. I had the vegan chicken and waffles and he had the vegan chiliquilles and we both had oat milk vanilla lattes. Everything was yummy. Midnight me after the festival was happy to have my leftovers. We liked the food so much, we came back the next day for brunch! Service is fast, but be prepared to wait on the weekend. Definitely a poppin spot cause the food’s bangin.

Excellent Vegan Options - Edit
Has a really great menu (an entire page) of vegan options, so that you can bring your non-vegan friends and not feel awkward. The “Chicken” and waffles were great and very close to actual c&w. Place a reservation online prior because the line is usually LONG.

Amazing spot for everyone - Edit
Millie’s is an incredible modern diner with a big menu, and an equally big and comparable vegan menu that does not feel like an afterthought.
Read moreReserve your place in line before you go through the app, and be prepared to wait outside for a little bit on the weekends. It’s just that popular.
As a former waiter, I’m so impressed with the way they run this restaurant too. They get orders promptly, serve food quickly, and move tables - without customers ever feeling rushed.
This is a Pasadena staple, a regular brunch spot, and one that I highly recommend.
Pros: Big vegan menu, Great service
Cons: Prepare to wait on the weekends

Tremendous place for brunch - Edit
The whole family went for lunch. The menu has so many delicious sounding options it was hard to decide. I had the cali Benedict with plant based eggs. It was amazing, the plant eggs were poached and even had runny yolks. Delicious. I got a side of the apple sage vegan sausage, yummy. My wife got the “usual” with tofu scramble, Mexican chipotle sausage and vegan waffle. It was very good, the waffle was very fluffy and light. Both of us really liked the potatoes. My kids got the breakfast burrito and slutty bun sandwich with real eggs (both available vegan) and they loved them and devoured them. The wait can be long so use yelp to get on the wait list in advance before you show up.
Read morePros: The menu has a lot of delicious options, Satisfying for both veg and non veg, Nice beverages as well

Vegan-friendly "greasy-spoon" diner - Edit
This is the greasy-spoon diner breakfast experience I've been missing! And they have more vegan breakfast options than most vegan restaurants! I love this place!

Favorite Brunch Spot - Edit
My fiancé and I just moved nearby and have been to Millie’s nearly every weekend. They have a MASSIVE vegan menu with many Just Egg-based options, and we’ve been trying to work our way through it. Everything we’ve tried has been great, but my faves so far are the Chilaquiles, the Angel’s Mess, and their version of the Egg Slut sandwich. I haven’t tried them yet, but I heard their vegan milkshakes are great!

Only downside is they don’t serve alcohol - a brunch mimosa would be awesome!

My staple is the Cali Benedict, although I also really like the vegan mess. A typical meal includes sharing a plate of sweet potato pancakes. And of course a chocolate milkshake.

Worth the trek to Pasadena - Edit
I love places that have lots of options for me, but also meat for my friends. But instead of one or two options, this place has dedicated vegan pages on the menu and everything is delicious!! I have had many things on the menu and it’s always great. Today was the vegan chicken and waffles which was the best version of that dish I’ve had at any restaurant!

This is one of my favorite places to get vegan breakfast. The chilaquiles and huevos ahogados are my personal faves. They are so delicious and filling. The tofu is great in both of them. I’ve also had the burritos, the vegan burger and the waffle. All were so good. I’m so glad they have such an extensive vegan menu!

Almost There - Edit
I really want to like this place. It has a large vegan menu in an area with few other options. It has a nice atmosphere, and the service is quick and friendly enough. They have high chairs and a changing table.
Read moreHowever, each time I've been there I've had a problem when ordering from their vegan menu. The first time, nobody bothered to tell me that the biscuit that came with my breakfast wasn't vegan. Even though I ordered from the vegan menu! When I found this out at a subsequent visit, they told me that they need to keep the biscuit on the vegan menu because of the non-vegans that like to order the vegan breakfast. Really???? Why not just list it on the regular menu, then? At another visit - yes, I keep going back because I'm an optimist - our server did not tell us that the item I ordered is different than how it is listed on the menu. Only after I asked him about the change did he mention that "Oh yeah, the menu is old. We changed that a week ago." Again, why not tell me when I order instead of after? Also, a vegan sandwich we ordered came with bacon on it, and they keep bringing me real butter when I order vegan breakfast.
Pros: Large vegan menu, Baby/child friendly, Nice atmosphere
Cons: Vegan menu not reliable, Servers don't give important information

Delicious vegan food - Edit
Full vegan breakfast and lunch menu with plenty of options. Although my vegan California Benedict wasn’t the tastiest I’ve ever had, it was still delicious and it was by far the least oily one I’ve had. I appreciate that they don’t overdue it with the vegan butter and oil. I also looked around the restaurant and none of the other dishes looked oily either—it was all very fresh. Portions are sizable. In addition, there were also plenty of vegetarian options on the regular menu. I’m happy that there is a cafe in this area that has a large selection of vegan food.
