Decent Mexican food

Upon first glance of their menu, only 2 things really state they’re vegan. On a whim I asked if they had vegan cheese which they mentioned they did, opening up a whole lot more menu items which was great. The cheese itself wasn’t too bad, it melted but still very much had that standard vegan cheese flavour. I didn’t find the flavours of the dish very prominent; could have had more spice/seasoning. Decent size portions though.

Pros: Has vegan cheese, Nice view

Zu teuer, wenig vegane Optionen

Leider völlig überteuerte Tapas (18 A$) und auch nur 3 vegane Optionen.
Lecker war es aber.

Amazing restaurant!

They have so many delicious vegan options!!!
We ordered Corn ribs with chipotle mayo, Flautas (swapped sour cream for vegan aioli), arancini balls and cauliflower bites with chimicurri sauce and OMG.
Big portions so it was great for 2.
We also tried the vegan sours and margarita cocktails and yummmm!
100% recommended this place.
Staff super friendly and good prices too!

Pros: Friendly staff , Great vegan options, Good prices

Several vegan options. Staff were very happy to recommend dishes. Bit of a wait for the food but it’s a nice venue & the drinks are good too. Worth it.

Pros: Multiple vegan options, Lovely view if you get a window seat, Nice ambience

Better than other vegan options in Airlie

Mostly Mexican options with burrito, bowl and nachos. My fam had all 3 of those options and we were very satisfied with serving size and taste. Pumpkin pasta is vegan as well which was delicious and generous with the veg. Vegan cheese was available. Sweet potato and regular fries both vegan also. Heads up the guacamole is NOT vegan so they will give you plain avocado instead. Will be heading back in the week we’re here for takeaway as other options we’ve sussed out have not seemed as good.
Also my animal loving vegan kiddos had a bit of a hard time reading the menu with some disturbing carnist titles and smelling so much meat around them, so if these things bother you I wouldn’t visit.

Pros: Quality food done nicely, Well priced compared to other venues in Airlie, Generous servings leaving you feeling satisfied

Cons: Guacamole not vegan (why?!?), sights and smells of meat dishes while dining, Could have more options much like most in Airlie

Not many options

I have not been there before but looking at the previous reviews and the current menu it looks like they really reduced the vegan options. The only options marked as vegan were: sweet potato fries, house fries, and vegan pasta. Additionally, I think people should know that they are serving sizzling hot BBQ plates that come with a really strong smell of meat. But what I did really like, although I have not tried it, is that they offer vegan sours! Doing a cocktail course I once learned that they are normally made with egg white. So I was delighted to see they have them clearly labelled and made with aquafaba!

Pros: Vegan sours prepared with aquafaba, Clearly labelled options

Cons: Not really much to choose from, Strong meat smell

One of the best vegan meals I had

Not super many vegan options but the ones they have are absolutely delicious!
I had vegan Enchiladas (not sure if they always have them, they were on the special menu) and my partner vegan pasta. Both was very yummy and price and size were alright, highly recommend!

Not sure why all the hype

Vegan Pasta is the only thing on the menu that is actually vegan. Many other meals can be made vegan by excluding ingredients and staff are happy to accomodate.

Ordered the cauliflower “wings” which were alright.
We also ordered the Nachos which had the option for soy meat but had to remove cheese, sour cream and the guacamole as dairy free alternatives were not available. Guacamole was substituted with fresh diced avocado. They were also ok.

Also ordered the Enchiladas which, as another reviewer mentioned; is actually two large spring rolls (most likely the Vegan Spring Rolls that feature in the Vegetarian Share Platter just repurposed).

Food took a little while to come out but it was a pretty busy afternoon. Overall food was not bad but not great, at least we were lucky enough to get a window seat so we could enjoy the view.

Outstanding

Friendly staff who made us feel welcome & knew the contents of meals. I passed on the vurger as the pattie contained egg/dairy, I can’t recall which. Had the enchilda instead & was the tastiest I have ever had. Hubby enjoyed his dish too despite usually being fussy.

Pros: Tasty food, Easy to veganise , Fantastic service

Cons: Wine not chilled enough

Nice vibe in a cool spot.

Actually a bar with few (not a lot) veg options, and most can be made vegan. Food is fairly basic, but not bad. Staff very friendly and knowledgable, and can help navigate the menu options. Cool atmosphere with a terrace overlooking the beach.

Greasy/Tacky

The cauliflower wings were just in batter, got the "enchilada" which was two big greasy spring rolls with non descript veg and the odd grey/ green bean with a smatter of tomato sauce on top. If you're looking for greasy stodge then all good but not healthy or refreshing.

Pros: Nice view from the window seat

Really good

Please, do yourself a favor and try the vegetarian “to share”. La mejor tabla que he probado en mi vida! If you’re from South America, you’d love it 😍

Delicious cauliflower bites!

We had absolutely delicious battered cauliflower bites! Highly recommend, just ask for no aioli. We also had the vegetarian lasagna which is vegan if you ask for no cheese. Yum! Also a very pretty view from the patio which looks out onto the oceanfront.

Pros: Yummy vegan options

Cons: Mostly meat restaurant
