Not helpful, mediocre dish and left hungry

I went because I saw in reviews here that they could accommodate. The only warm dish they said they could veganize was a tortilla soup without the dairy. I ordered a side of beans to make it more filling. I got my soup about 10 to 15 minutes before the other people that were with me got their food. I had to ask for tortilla and salsa several times. They didn't arrive before I finished my soup. Neither did the beans, even though the waiter had confirmed they would come with the soup. When the beans arrived, I had to keep asking for tortillas and salsa. Neither the soup nor the beans were particularly well seasoned.
We had asked for the possibility to split the bill from the moment we'd made the reservation, yet they were still being difficult about it.
Too expensive to be leaving hungry and completely underwhelmed.

Pros: Good mezcalita

Cons: Not accomodating, Mediocre food

Staff can make most items vegan

No options are labeled vegan but the staff is VERY knowledgeable and more than willing to make you a vegan meal.

Asked for vegan enchiladas and was not disappointed. They stuffed corn tortillas with mushrooms, onions, peppers, (and much more) and the mole sauce is naturally vegan. Drinks are also very good.

Pros: Knowledgeable staff, Lots of vegan options if you ask , Very good drinks

Cons: A little expensive compared to others in area

Fresh vegan options. Well worth stopping in.

The beans are fried in vegetable oil. The red mole doesn't have chicken stock. They went out of their way to accommodate us and stuffed the mole enchiladas with mushrooms. Vegetarians can eat potato stuffing that has butter. Everything is freshly prepared. It's just across from the mission. Very easy to find.

Pros: Freshly prepared food to order, Good understanding of what makes a vegan dish, Easily adaptable menu

Vegan options available

Ordered the banana stuffed Chile relleno and mushroom ceviche they were amazingly good, I went with my family and dad had the combinación mexicana he said it was something he’d expect from a traditional restaurant in Oaxaca not something you would find in a beach town in Baja it was that good, that included a Chile relleno, arrachera and mole enchiladas.

Pros: Very accommodating to diets , Accommodating to food allergies (gluten)

Cons: Place is not that big so might find a wait time.
