Mostly vegan menu, with mostly gluten-free options. Focuses its meals around fresh vegetables and whole grains, and uses as little oil as possible. Try the signature pistachio cake. FEB 12, 2016 IS LAST DAY OF BUSINESS PER COW AMBASSADOR.

Good food, small dishes. - Edit
Came with a friend. We shared that day's special and a seaweed salad.
Read moreFriendly staff, nice cosy vibe.
Both dishes arrived - small. Very small. Especially for that price.
The salad was really good, the other dish nice as well.
The problem is - we both left hungry with empty pockets.
The food is just too expensive for the portions.
It IS good (nothing I can't make myself at home, but good)but for that price... I expected bigger portions.
When I eat - I eat a lot. However - that day I really wasn't very hungry and it didn't satisfy my friend either (which doesn't eat much) so it's definitely the portions.
I would not return. Good food but if you leave hungry - it's just not worth it.
Pros: Good food., Friendly staff., Cosy and pleasant vibe.
Cons: Small portions., Way too expensive.

Great, vegan-friendly restaurant - Edit
Mezze is a very nice vegetarian restaurant. Relaxed, yet *slightly* upscale atmosphere and very friendly staff. They have an English menu and are pleased to cater to vegan needs.
Read moreThe meals are mostly based on fresh vegetables, herbs and spices. I didn't see any seitan, tofu or "faux meats" etc. on the menu.
From noon to 6 pm they offer a fixed meal for around 50 NIS, while most other dishes seem to be in the 25-45 NIS price range (might be pricier at night).
Of all the vegetarian Tel Aviv cafes/restaurants we have seen so far, I would probably recommend this the most for a relaxed lunch or dinner for two.
The surrounding area is one of the more interesting hoods of Tel Aviv. There's lots of interesting cafes in the surrounding streets, and the eastern end of Shenkin St. is good for shopping.
Pros: Relaxed, slightly stylish atmosphere, Nice staff, Great outdoor sitting area

Broad selection of dishes. Though nothing is super tasty, it's just ok...
