Good vegan choices, good beer, service iffy - Edit
Slightly over 50% of the menu items are marked "vegetarian" or "vegan friendly" (I counted) and the waitstaff inspires confidence that your request to make an item vegan will be fully honored. We enjoyed the guacamole, chimichangas, and enchiladas (with Impossible™ pork), all loaded with a variety of veggies and interesting sauces and spices. The atmosphere is a lively counterpart to the fun Jackson Street scene. The decorations on three huge walls (the fourth is mostly glass) are a sight to behold. The only downside was our experience on entering the restaurant: Despite lots of empty tables and no one ahead of us in line, we stood and waited 10 minutes during which no staff member acknowledged our existence. Three staff members passed us by repeatedly and seemed to avoid making eye contact. Then after enduring 10 minutes of invisibility, we watched incredulously as a party of five came in behind us and were immediately warmly greeted and seated (we learned later they had reservations). I then became vocal. This is an extremely disrespectful way to treat customers. A simple "Someone will be with you in a moment" would have defused our growing frustration. Every employee should be trained to greet new arrivals if they have any reason to think they're the first to see them. Even though the table service was good, that bad first impression had a lasting effect that made our experience less enjoyable.

Excellent value and choice! - Edit
I was hugely and pleasantly surprised at the choice for vegans here. We had the lunch degustation deal and everything was AMAZING (and we are hard to please!) The waitress was awesome, super welcoming and knowledgeable and we really appreciated her confidence in knowing exactly what vegans ate!

I had the chimichangas and potato skin wedges. The potatoes were a tiny bit undercooked, but still edible. The sauce on them was divine. The chimichangas were AMAZING, and the salsa with them was sooooooo good! I'll be back again for sure!
