Amazing food - Edit
I'll echo what others have said and say that this is one of the few times I wish I could give a not fully veg restaurant 5 stars. The food is absolutely outstanding.

This needs 5 stars - Edit
Ethiopian food is naturally diverse and rich in vegan options. Everything is delicious!!!
Read moreThe only uncomfortable thing, was that they served our food all together in the same plate as the people eating meat, so some vegetarian things we had to avoid as it was in contact with meat.
They do this as they explain that in Ethiopia everybody eats together, a beautiful cultural thing, nevertheless it remains a bit uncomfortable if you're strict with this.
Pros: Diverse and rich in vegetarian/vegan options, Absolutely delicious

So good - Edit
The vegan dish "yetsom beyainetu" was awesome! So good and everything is made in the open kitchen in front of you. Friendly service.

Excellent Ethiopian - Edit
I can't fathom why Messob isn't more popular here.
Read moreThey serve authentic Ethiopian food, really tasty and freshly prepared. As is usual, one gets one platter with small portions of all the vegan stews (except the spicy one). The dishes are being eaten without cutlery, just with hands and with injera, an Ethiopian bread that's always served with their dishes.
There's a washbasin in the back.
Big portions. In fact, I wasn't able to finish mine, it was too much food. It's also possible to order a single stew with injera, that's way less food then, also way less variety though.
Good prices for the amount of food.
Lovely service. Neat decorations.
The alleged owner (actually it was a couple, presumably, the woman was cooking, the man was serving) performed a traditional coffee roasting ceremony inside the restaurant (it got pretty smoky at the end).
If I could, I'd give five stars.

Inviting food and good amount of it - Edit
When we go there we usually order a vegeterian mix. It comes on a big plate and you eat the food with your hands and by using a roll of Injera, the ethiopian pancake. It is a friendly, inviting way to share food together.
Read moreThere are a lot of vegetables and lens and the Injera being itself quite nurrishing I always end-up having ate too much.
What is a plus is the ethipian decoration and the staff traditionnally-dressed.
Pros: Sharing food on the same plate, Decoration, Really nurrishing
