Great vegan food in Volos city - Edit
We were on holidays in Pilio. On our way back to Athens, we checked if there is any vegan restaurant in the city and we found only 2 vegan friendly places. Meraki café had very good reviews so we decided to go there!

Update 2020: I had to go to Volos so on my way back, I passed by Meraki and grabbed 2 sandwiches (one with home made salami which was SO tasty) - a fresh juice and a piece of chocolate cake which was delicious. Still recommending this place!
Update 2023: On our way to and from the North of Greece, we stopped by Meraki to walk the dogs and grab some food. We got bagels and sandwiches which were all so tasty and I got a delicious Eastern beverage called Salepi, which I recommend.
P. S: They only have dairy milk, all their food is vegan now. Soon it will be vegan but not yet (someone reported it fully vegan some months ago but this is not accurate).
Update 2024: Again, on our way back from the North of Greece, we stopped by to get us some food, and everything was delicious. We got whole grain sandwiches with amazing vegan feta from almond and grilled veggies, a delicious croissant with peanut butter and chocolate and cupcakes.
Sadly though, they use too much plastic now.

Read moreWe visited the restaurant today. There were 3 types of sandwiches: vegetables, nuggets and meatballs. They are all bad. Dry bun, no fresh vegetables, no sauce on the side. Not fresh and not tasty. Sorry but No need to come.

Visited twice during our stay. First time the only food available was a ready made burrito. We thought that we maybe timed our visit wrong and went back again the day after. This time they said that they didn’t served food at all that day.

Great cafe for quick sandwiches and cake. We loved the ‘salami’ and grilled veg sandwiches, and the sugar free chocolate and peanut cake. You can sit upstairs (be aware: smoking!) or outside under cover. A lovely dog stopped by too.

Everything was delicious, we arrived the night before and all the food was gone around an hour before closing which was really disappointing. They get all the food in the morning and dont make new so if its over they dont have anything to offer. Strangely, one of the people there suggested us to go get gyros (meat) after he said the food was over.

Ok, not your New York bagels. That said, Meraki serves and extensive vegan menu (they do claim it is all vegan), great lunch spot. Sandwiches are served with potato chips, the seating across the street is funky and comfortable with large colorful murals. My vegan soy lake was tasty, and the mushroom cheese was great - with homemade pickles! I was in heaven with my frappe.

Amazing experience at Meraki. Lovely staff explained every option. We had Mushroom bagel with pickles, truffle oil and mustard (Our favourite) and another bagel with homemade salami. Both excellent! 100% recommended

After finding Meraki on this App, me and my partner had to come and try. And we weren't disappointed. Coffee was great, though they only had coconut milk available, which I am usually not a fan of. Nonetheless the coffee was great and the food was even better. So many vegan options and everything we tried was delicious

We had sandwiches with chips. It was really crowded with students, which is great to see. They offer sandwiches. It's great to have a Vegan bar in Volos where you can grab something to eat quickly who is making a good promotion of vegan lofestyle among youth but it's not a culinary experience.

A stop in Volos and what a nice discovery, this full vegan cafe/snacks is pretty surprising, especially for its outside space... I didn't expect such a place, with many choices of Vegan sandwiches, I tried 2 and the one with their own made salami was super good! Nice fresh juice too.
