This is the fourth of fifth ramen place I’ve been to on this app and so far it has the best vegan ramen I’ve had. I got the spicy vegetable and it was SOOO good. Highly recommend.

Dirty but delicious - Edit
I was a bit skeptical at first when I saw the small restaurant. Unfortunately, the interior is very dirty and old. There are few seats and it is a bit cramped. The jars with the sauces and spices are very dirty and oily.

Pros: Delicious vegan ramen, Friendly staff, Easy to order (ticket machine)

Surprisingly good - Edit
I have to admit that we were a bit sceptical at first because the whole place looks like it needs a good scrub. However, both the regular and spicy vegan ramen were very delicous and creamy. The only downside is that it lacks some kind of protein, for eg. soy meat or tofu, to make the meal more fullfilling.

One of my favorite vegan ramen bowls in Japan - Edit
Menya Takeichi is a great option if you are seeking a vegan meal within Akihabara. The vegan bowl has a rich, creamy broth that is delicious; but not overwhelming or too salty. It's seriously one of the best I had in two months of Japanese dining. They also serve an affordable and decent lemon sour.
Read moreThe convenience and operating hours made Menya one of my frequent go to spots in Tokyo. Menya Takeichi operates fairly late, which is perfect if you are looking to shop until the last possible minute in Akihabara, where shops close somewhat early. Finish your shopping and grab a quick meal. Additionally, wait times were generally quite short or non-existent.
Be aware: I think you can order extra noodles for much cheaper than the price of a new bowl, but I didn't realize until my fourth time in because the extra noodles aren't shown directly in the vegan menu. I could be mistaking that for another restaurant though; as many offer this service. Having this option tucked away is something I noticed in a few restaurants, so always keep an eye out!
Ordering done via ticket vending machine.
Vegan option is more or less easy to identify, especially if the English speaking staff helps you.

One Of The Best - Edit
This was one of the best ramens we had in Japan. The restaurant is found down a little side street. It’s a tiny restaurant but they’ve managed to fit a decent amount of seating. We sat up around the bar looking into the restaurant.

Delicious Ramen place - Edit
This Ramen place is really nice and really authentic. You order your Ramen an a machine at the entrance, vegan version is clearly labelled. You then get a Ticket that you give to the owners, get a seat, and wait for your delicious Ramen. It's really cozy inside the Store and the Ramen were just delicious. We've been there in a cold and rainy day and it was the perfect food. The broth was really good and unique.

Excellent vegetarian ramen 🤩 - Edit
Super delicious vegetarian ramen. I added an egg, but it comes without one if you order it as standard. Came back twice, contemplating visiting a third time before we leave Japan.

Rico pero sucio - Edit
Comí un ramen vegano que tenía buen sabor, pero no tenía proteína, era solo Noodles, pimentón y nori. El lugar era sucio, poco higiénico. No volvería a menos que estuviera muriendo de hambre

Decent ramen! - Edit
Ramen is advertised as both vegatarian and vegan depending on which sign you look at. Machine has it listed as vegetable ramen but staff confirmed it’s vegan. Broth is rich and creamy. Toppings were a bit ho-hum, but overall satisfying!

Vegan Ramen Akihabara - Edit
The best vegan ramen I’ve ever had! It’s so creamy and flavourful. Seriously. Go here if you love ramen like I do. Small-medium sized eatery but they seem to turn over quickly so we didn’t see much of a wait. English menu option on the vending machine and staff speak some English.
