Decent diner options - Edit
If you need a plate of waffles or a burger, Mel's works. Ask for their vegan menu. There are a good number of options. Breakfast skillet was mediocre but fine. Waffles were good.

Dedicated Vegan Menu! - Edit
I love the care and effort that's gone into Mel's; it's rare to see a dedicated vegan menu at a diner in Ontario!

I could do without the 'sexy' server uniforms; it's 2024 and I feel like we should be moving beyond that as a gimmick but that's just my personal preference. It had no bearing on my enjoyment of the dining experience!
We ordered the Brekkie Special which was standard diner fare. It was pretty filling through and the side of fruit tasted really fresh which was nice.
All in, I'd go back to Mel's to try some other dishes if I were in the area but I wouldn't make a special detour to go again.
