Nothing quite like it! Lovely artwork and a great vibe, survived Harvey flooding and Covid but the last few times I went the staffing wasn't right. Sad, it used to be brilliant.

Best Vegan Pizza Around - Edit
I go to MOD or Your Pie for a quick pizza fix, but I always find myself missing that soft fluffy pizza dough crust: enter Mellow Mushroom. My husband and I go here for date night about once a month since it is a little more on the expensive side. We are so happy to be able to get vegan cheese AND jerk tempeh on our margarita pizza! Plus we love to have a glass of local beer to wash it down. Just ask them to not put parmesan and you're good to go.

A good place to go for pizza! The wait might be a bit long depending on when you go and if you want a vegan pizza make sure to specifically say vegan because many of the dishes come as vegan or not vegan (made this mistake once).

Mellow Mushroom is a super casual place to go for a pizza. The staff at this location were friendly when we went. Our waiter was a little quiet/awkward, but we didn’t mind, especially since we prefer to be left alone when eating anyway. ;P
Read moreThis place has vegan cheese for your pizza - and tofu! However, please take note that most of the sauces that could be used with the tofu are not vegan. I was excited to order a buffalo tofu pizza, but thankfully, I discovered the sauce wasn’t vegan before I ordered.
Also: Make sure you ask them for no butter / no Parmesan on the pizza crust.
You can go to the MM website to view allergen info / items that do not contain animal products.
Pros: Vegan cheese , A lot of topping choices (avocado, tofu, etc.)
Cons: Buffalo & bbq sauce are not vegan , Can get expensive; $3 per extra topping
