Vegan beignets and crab cakes! - Edit
Glad we got to eat somewhere in the French Market, didn't think there would be any vegan vendors but we were so happy to find this place! The vegan crab cake sandwich was amazing and the beignets were a nice treat!

Good vegan choices - Edit
The vegan crab cakes were delicious with great flavor. We were disappointed in the vegan gumbo and vegan red beans and rice. They were bland, not what I’d expect in New Orleans. Food took 25 minutes to come out. Covered outdoor seating only.

Vegan NOLA Food - Edit
Huge variety vegan options, but a bit pricey. Wait time was quite long and they were out of a few items. The beignets were great but we’re really small. The vegan meat was tasted scarily real.

Ultra delicious! Go here when you are in New Orleans! - Edit
The owner is kind and knows exactly about veganism. They have a full vegan menu and also a meat menu but whatever that’s nice for your friends. I had a beyond po boy, and it was delicious 17 dollars might seem like a lot but we ate with 2people from it and are still very full. Sad I discovered it on my last day.
Pros: They know what’s vegan! , Delicious like soooo delicious!, Super duper delicious

fav food we tried in nola! - Edit
these vegan options are what vegan alternatives should taste like. there is no compromise on flavor at all. the sausage and crab cake part of the po boys tasted exactly how i would think the non vegan one would taste. the bread was perfect as well. me and my bf were very pleased as we felt we got to have an authentic po boy while still adhering to our meat free diets!!

Yummy fresh vegan food - Edit
In the midst of French Quarter Fest with a dearth of vegan and fresh food, I was relieved to find Meals from the Heart! The power smoothie was delicious and a great refreshment on a warm day. And they have vegan alternatives to popular NOLA dished that rarely have vegan options, like gumbo and red beans. The vegan gumbo was so good! The staff were friendly and helpful.

Vegan crab cake - Edit
I’m glad vegan food is easier to find in the city, but you still have to hunt for it. I was happy to come across this place in the French market and even happier when I tasted the crabcake. So yummy, artichoke and chickpea-based with the perfect seasoning and crispness. Can’t wait to go back tomorrow! 😁

Overwhelmed shop - Edit
They seemed overwhelmed and kind of annoyed, but there was a long line. Slow moving. Ran out of the sausage and Po boy items, which was kind of the point of the visit, and forgot to make the shake we ordered. The gumbo wasn't flavorful or seasoned well at all, but the chicken cheese steak and crab cake was good! The vegan items are well-marked.

Omg the food!!!! - Edit
I wanted to give it a 5 star review but the app is not allowing it. Anyway, the service is phenomenal and the blueberry pancakes are sinful. Highly recommend.
Read moreEdit- I went back and discovered they had an entire menu full of vegan options! They have breakfast sandwiches and other breakfast options, cheesesteaks, po-boys, creole potatoes, and more. So glad I went back! I would have missed out on yummy options!
Edit (again) - really hate that i can't give it 5 stars. I have been going everyday during our vacation and today being my last day, I told James (the owner) that I would think about him everyday when I leave. 😭
I can't get over the food! Absolutely amazing! Everything I order is better than the last! A definite must go if you are in the French Quarter!

We spent a long weekend in the city and had breakfast here more than once. They serve “just eggs” with vegan cheese and a great variety of fresh veggies, as well as vegan pancakes and fritters. Portions were large and it was inexpensive.
