I loved the vegan beef burger. They cooked the patty so it was grilled and hot, but still moist and red in the middle. It was strange, I wasn’t used to this for fast food.

The machine for ordering is clear and easy to use. There are usually 3 vegan burger options and many more vegetarian ones. Do not expect anything fancy or mind blowing food. They also offer plant based shakes that are a sweet deal.

I asked them to check the ingredients and allergens list - they did and told me that none of the sandwiches are actually vegan and can’t be made vegan. Didn’t know the difference between vegetarian and vegan. Maybe this person didn’t know what they were talking about, but make sure you ask to be sure.

I order the vegan beef burger and the vegan buffalo burger. The former was as bland as can be, the latter had some spice (though less than I had hoped for, but about as much as I expected).
Not good, but also one of the few options near the central train station at 11pm on a Sunday.

I have eaten at Max in Norway many times, and find their burgers pretty OK. The Swedish menu seemed to be a bit different, and I went for the burger that looked the most similar to the one I normally go for in Norway (Crispy no Chicken). Unfortunately, it (Crispy Supreme Sandwich) wasn't half as nice as the Norwegian one. The plant based luxury peach shake was good, though.

Max burger is kind of like a slightly nicer McDonald's. The menu is almost split in two with a meat menu and a vegan menu. There are vegan options for most things including a faux chicken burger, faux beef, and salads. There are also plant shakes which are excellent.

Read moreThe Crispy No Chicken wasn’t bad but the there’s definitely space for improvement - especially the taste (in my opinion a bit tasteless).
The chocolate “milkshake” (far from being one) was too thick and fat, I had a hard time drinking it.
I would also point out how it’s more expensive than other fast food brands, so overall it didn’t convince me.

Convenient option on a whim. Ordered the no chicken burger, non-dairy strawberry shake & no chicken bbq burger and it was awesome. One of the crispiest vegan chicken patties I've ever tried. Props to the guy that was nonstop cleaning too. The restaurant was quite clean to be a fast food place. Higher quality than a McDonald's for sure.

visited last may. i was surprised by the number of vegan things they had. pleasantly surprised. also pretty mind blowing that a fast food chain would have this many options. better than the swedish mcdonalds. if you love vegan junk food, which i do, definitely worth coming to. and the shakes were pretty good. i had the chocolate one and a pear one at another branch with a non-vegan swedish friend. i guess it would be a great place if you have different diets.

Seeing they had a green menu, I was curious about what was on offer. They had a couple of vegan options - the burger was fast food but was tasty. The other consideration is that not speaking Swedish, you can order via the digital kiosk in english, tailoring your order. Sometimes in another culture it can get a bit fatiguing going through the whole plant-based explanation every meal (although this is becoming less of an issue).
