Serves meat, vegan options available. Restaurant offering a seasonal menu with some labeled vegan options including wraps and salads. Open Mon-Sun 9:00am-9:00pm.
I had the vegan falafel wrap, which while it was very tasty, I feel the portion was rather small for the $18 that I spent. I was almost tempted to get the tofu steak as that seemed more appealing, however the tofu steak had a honey glaze which is not vegan. I hope they remove the honey glaze and make that dish completely vegan, because a tofu steak sounds like a wonderful dish. I hope they increase their vegan options in the future, it sounds like they've got the right idea with the tofu steak but it just needs some fine tuning.
Came here again (I’m a local) and the menu still hadn’t changed so my options as a vegan were limited to three different types of salad :((( I had the buckwheat salad which costed like $22 (FOR A SALAD!?) and it was very underwhelming and oily. If I have to come back I’ll probs try the raw vegan salad. If I had a choice tho I’d go to Alma across the road!
I would love to see some more diverse vegan options (not just salad) perhaps offer vegan alternatives to the meat dishes. I think that the chefs are used to meat being the centre of the dish and then adding a few leaves for garnish, so it could be a challenge for them. Perhaps experimenting with tofu and seitan for more interesting and meaty textures.
