Would give this 5 stars if I could! Marie and Oli were very friendly and welcoming from the start, giving us great recommendations and pointing out all the clearly marked vegan options. My girlfriend and I had a starter, main, dessert and cocktail each for a total of €80; very reasonable given the very high quality ingredients, delicious meals, drinks, wonderful decor atmosphere and fast service! Marie's passion for cooking vegan food and her attention to detail really shines through, definitely recommend this place to any vegan visiting the area!

The best vegan food for miles! The home made bread! The pickled carrots! We ate way too much of course because everything sounded so yummy, I had to have the leftovers of my main (the roast!!!) be packed up in a doggie bag and will forever regret I didn’t have space for dessert😩! Both Mari and Oli are super nice and made us feel welcome and taken care of❤️ the vegan menu literally fills pages and even though there is a selection of fish and meat dishes, the vegan menu has more choices than most all-vegan restaurant, so I would regard it as a “restaurant within a restaurant” and give it 5 stars!!!

A responsável é uma senhora muito simpática, que contrasta com o marido, que está sentido na esplanada a fumar, e de má cara, e vai frequentemente ajudar na cozinha, muito contrariado e a fumar dentro da cozinha, dentro do balcão, e dentro do restaurante.
Só tenho pena da responsável, porque tudo foi nojento, desde a atitude e comportamento do senhor como da comida.

My partner and I are vegetarian but often eat vegan. We came across Marie e Oli's on Happy Cow whilst in Armacao de Pera. We went there for dinner, and it was the best food we have had all week. Everything was delicious, flavourful and clearly cooked with love. We had the vegan catapalana and the seitan cordon bleu - both were phenomenal. The seitan in the codon bleu is home made, as was the vegan garlic mayo served with the cataplana. For dessert, we shared fresh seasonal fruits which came with a soy foam, which was really refreshing.
Read moreEverything is clearly labelled, with clear allergen advice. Vegetarian cheese can often be swapped for vegan cheese. Two separate menus - meat/fish and vegetarian/vegan which is really helpful.
Marie was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and eager to share how things were made and sourced, which was a lovely touch. She is clearly passionate about food, especially about creating amazing veggie and vegan food, focused on health, taste and also ethical sourcing (the same goes for the meat/fish as detailed in the menu). Cocktails were lovely also. We will definitely be eating there again!
I would give 5 stars if happy cow let me, but this isn't enabled if the establishment also has meat/fish

Given that the vegan/veggie menu is probably bigger than the meat menu, I wish I could give this place 5 stars. The food was absolutely incredible and it was so nice to have so much choice while eating with meat eaters. I really appreciated having a restaurant like this in Armaçao de Pêra, where it can be quite difficult to get a good veggie/vegan meal. Around a 20 minute walk away from the main town centre but worth it. Dishes were thoughtful and varied. Quite heavy food though as most dishes were based on potatoes and seitan, so unfortunately I couldn't finish my main or have a dessert. Could definitely share a main for two people. Marie was so friendly and helpful. I hope this restaurant continues to be a huge success!

This place is perfect for a mixed group of veg/an/omni eaters. For the vegs, there are more options than many all-veg restaurants. And many of those plates are inspired by local and regional seafood and meat dishes. Husband and wife Marie and Oli are incredibly welcoming. Although the outdoor setting is modest, it offers a chance to see that the neighbors have embraced this place as part of the community. The inside is lined with Oli’s fascinating art and sculptures. We selected from a unique and inspired aperitif and cocktail selection. The tapas/appetizers were lovingly prepared, and we could taste it – not least in the homemade bread. Seitan and veg chorizo were among the best I’ve had. The plentiful entrees were equally delicious (especially the vegan Castanha), though we may not have lingered so long over them if we had known how delectable the vegan desserts were going to be. No matter, we finished everything, and the cost for four people was quite welcome, given the feast we enjoyed.

The friendly nature of the owners is coupled with a dedicated effort to serve delicious and biological food made with enthusiasm. Oli is a very experienced chef that takes vegan cuisine to an amazing level, together with Maries' specialities. The value is very just for the quality and serving sizes. The restaurant has a great back garden/patio with a great cosy atmosphere; indoors, the owners' self-made art and decoration make it a special place to really enjoy your taste buds :).

The restaurant is not on a very typical place, it's a bit hidden. But very nice atmosphere, cute furniture and decoration and a very friendly german woman is serving the food. The food is very delicious and nicely decorated. Vegetarians and vegans have a lot of choice. There is also some meat and fish on the menu.
