Popped in to get a sandwich for lunch and was really impressed by the place, the staff, and the food itself. The sandwich was a good portion and tasty.

Their cardamom roll is a big hit for me. Decadent and not too sweet. Also their sandware excellent! We tried #'s 1 and 4. Also the breaded hot dog thing was yummy.

Wish we had a Margo’s where we live! - Edit
Just absolutely phenomenal pastries, sandwiches, everything. I am not a big sweets fan but really enjoyed everything I tried here. I especially loved the lemon cardomom rolls, Ham and cheese croissants, and all the ones with the fruit and cream! I got to meet the owners and they are incredibly lovely and hard working. Cannot recommend enough!

INCREDIBLE vegan pastries - Edit
Some of the best pastries I’ve ever had and they just happen to also be vegan! This bakery has really mastered their craft and I think quality baked goods like this help show that using plant-based ingredients doesn’t mean having to compromise on texture or taste.
Read moreI tried a savoury mushroom and Parmesan cheese danish recommended by the barista and a sweet pistachio rose water danish which was delicious.
Very impressed!

I loved this small café. They have great coffee and many freshly made pastries. The puff pastry is very good and flakey. They have both sweet and savory options. A must if you are around

First place to visit on arrival - Edit
I have wanted to go to Margo's for a while having first seen it pop up on Facebook. Living in the UK I've been waiting a while. We stopped here on the way to check inn at our hotel. Fantastic choice of pastries and coffees. Our party of 3 chose 3 different pastries all delicious thank you. We came back again before leaving. There is no seating inside but we went in June when the weather was warm. It's also not far from St Jean. Would I go back? Absolutely but please move to York and open a bakery here.

Great bakery, but very small - Edit
This shop looks elegant and the staff is serviceable. On top of everything being vegan, they use mostly organic and fairtrade ingredients. They like it when you bring your own containers and cups.
Read moreMy favourites are the fresh croissants and Danishes: flakey, buttery and crispy. I tried the ham/cheese croissant and the Danishes with caramelized pear, pistachio, rhubarb and passionfruit. My favourite cookies are tahini, matcha, hazelnut and chocolate chip.
Their double-baked croissants are chewier, which isn’t my thing. I also tried a sandwich, toastie, tahini bun, madeleines and cakes (lemon and raspberry cheesecake), but I found them less good. Their cakes and buns were firm/solid rather than fluffy.
I loved their oatmylk chai latte, but their peas mylk golden latte was a bit too strong.

Great pastries, mid sandwiches - Edit
I’ve been here twice and the pastries are amazing; especially the almond croissant. I cannot say the same about the sandwiches though as they are a hit or miss. There are some good ones, but neither the quality nor creativity justify the price and size. The description doesn’t really live up to expectations either. That being said, you should still visit, just skip right to the sweet stuff.

Pros: Pastries are INCREDIBLE, Choice of white-sesame or whole wheat!

Tasty sandwich and pastry - Edit
This place was recommended to me. On my first visit I got the summer roast sandwich on whole wheat oat and it was pretty good, but not revelatory. A friend of mine really loves the croissants here so I came back the next morning and tried the ham and cheese. Apparently these sell out early. It was huge! The ham was made from seitan I believe. Again it was very good, but I’m not a croissant connoisseur. I’m not sure I can tell yet what makes a good one.

No idea why anyone needs to put animal products in things when you can make it taste THIS good without harming anyone! Margos is amazing. You should 10000% go if you’re in the area. Some of the best vegan pastries and sandwiches I’ve ever tried.

Best croissants in Amsterdam - Edit
Went here several times. My all time favorite is the jambon-fromage croissant (ham-cheese🧀). All the croissants are great; crispy, moist, fluffy, savoury, perfect. My family loves them too (not vegan), you won’t taste the difference ( better than the croissants with butter that I’ve tasted in Amsterdam). Their sandwich options look delicious, haven’t tried them yet.
Read moreDanish pastries are good, just not my thing. Other pastries and cookies look great, will definitely try them. Had the brioche for Easter.
Love that they use mostly organic ingredients and support sustainable causes like The ocean cleanup.
Very friendly and upbeat owner and staff.
Missed the special tompouce on King’s Day (vegan versions aren’t easily available) , will order it next year.
Only downside for me is that they don’t have gluten-free options, otherwise I would visit them weekly.

Went here twice, they have great coffee with oatmilk, the croissants were a bit too oily but delicious. Also tried a matcha coolie that was lots of sugar, not so much flavour. The summer roast sandwich was amazing!

CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT THE CROISSANT - Edit
We visited Margo’s yesterday as we’re visiting Amsterdam. If I could pick up this shop and take it back to England, I would. I can’t stop thinking about the vegan ham and cheese croissant, and the rhubarb danish was divine.
