Great value Nepali & Indian cuisine - Edit
This place is a real treat in a part of Portugal that isn't always particularly vegan friendly. The great news is that there are lots of vegan options to choose from. The veggie momos are a must to start - so yummy! For mains, we tried the chana masala and the sag aloo, both of which were very good, but there are plenty of other dishes to try if they're not your favourites. Prices are incredible with ten momos going for €6 & mains for just €7 including rice! Two can eat very well €20. Drinks prices are also very reasonable.

Best Nepali food in Alentejo - Edit
There is vegan options in the menu and it os very tasty! Best Nepali restaurant in the area. The staff is super friendly and the portions are big. I really recommend the place!

I am traveling with a group on the Fisherman’s Trail and I am the only vegan. They booked at a grill place and told me there was basically nothing else in the surroundings. I found this little restaurant thanks to Happy Cow and I couldn’t be happier. I love Indian food and the staff is very nice. I ordered to go also for tomorrow lunch 😁

O atendimento foi muito bom. A entrada vegan sem ser as chamuças era muito boa, as chamuças estavam moles. Os momos vegetais muito bons. Caril de lentinhas não recomendo, nem o arroz com vegetais, tinha um sabor desagradável.

One Of The Friendliest Places… Ever! - Edit
Mar Azul is one of the friendliest places I’ve been to. You can tell the food was made with love, it’s a family-owned business that makes sure to put their own stamp of home made and home grown ingredients, with a typical traditional Nepalese flavor. The staff was incredibly nice to us, we almost felt like we were at home. We will ✨DEFINITELY✨ be coming back, as soon as possible!

We walked by a couple of restaurants in Almograve before we decided to come here. And we were very happy with the choice! Vegan is well known, super friendly staff and food was good! They can veganize all vegetarian curries (except paneer curry) plus there are momos (fried, steamed...).

What a nice surprise in the middle of Almograve! - Edit
Mar azul offers several vegan options - we had momos (which were delicious), vegetable pakora and vegetable chowmein. Our meal was super cheap and delicious, and the waiter was super nice and friendly. A place to come back to (which we actually did)!

We didn’t eat from the “Indian food” menu, went straight for the momo, dal bhat, noodles, all were or could be made vegan. Let the waiter know, most dishes usually come with yogurt. Momo was 5Euro for ten pieces, was really good!
