We’re a vegan family of three that treated ourselves with a dinner at Manto. We had all together one small dish, 2 medium dishes and one large dish. We loved the Manto dumplings, parts of the meze-plate and all the sauces. Our daugher ate all the summer bolani.😄The service was good and the food aswell - a little bit on the pricey side for us.

We paid around 400SEK/person and if the food was slightly bigger portions I would’ve thought this to be reasonable, but they just felt a bit too small, you know? When it actually feels like the dish would be better if the pieces were a bit bigger.
Drinks were 10/10, but non alcoholic and alcoholic versions were great.
Unfortunately the down side was the staff. The girls were absolutely lovely but the man that served us was incredibly rude, almost anti-social, and shouldn’t work in hospitality. It made our whole group uncomfortably and we had to laugh about it because it was so weird and awkward.
As women especially it just didn’t feel nice and I honestly wouldn’t go back because of this waiter. I wish they’d train their staff to be more welcoming and service minded. For example, he put the card payer on our table at 7 sharp. We were ready to go, but he didn’t say a kind word or even a smile to make up for the bluntness. He also didn’t say thank you or please and it was just really weird.

Manto bring together all kinds of different techniques and ingredients, with a focus on Afghan cooking, to create some truly wonderful dishes. The Kado, a roasted pumpkin dish, is amazing in particular; the roasted pumpkin, spiced yogurt sauce, and homemade bread come together perfectly. The Afghan roses desert is one of the best deserts I’ve had in a long time, rich but also delicate and fresh.

Clean, kind waitress, high prices, good flavor,( yeah the soup was great), the man in the attention point approached us to ask how was the food what is really appreciated, but it surprised me how serious he was, I would say that he was even upset, what i feel like bad since to work with customers you must be at least a bit smily the attention its more important than the food quality for me. Oh yes, its better to make a reservation if you plan to go, we didn't but the waitress tried her best to see if all was ok and if they could have us there.

Read moreWe requested another drink and told the waitress that we weren’t happy with it, to which they replied, they would charge us with the bad drink regardless.
In generel the waitresses’ attitudes were very NOT welcoming, even before the drink issue. The whole anniversary dinner was very uncomfortable and we felt like a chore from the moment we entered the door.
We give 2 stars purely for the good food.

When a guest complains on the all the prices, complains that a drink is too bitter when it’s a gin&tonic (that is how it’s supposed to be) and asks multiple waitresses to remove a perfectly fine drink from the bill, we get very frustrated. We did not feel apreciated or respected. This drink is very popular and all other guests love it. But gin&tonic is not for everyone, we get that. We also know how a gin&tonic is supposed to taste.
We do not give discounts because of personal preference, as we told you during your visit. That i not bad service, that is just being fair ans respectful to the craft.
You have the right to your opinion, and you might think we gave you bad service. But sometimes the service is reflected depending on how the guests are treating the staff aswell. Something to think about in the future. Have a nice summer! 🌸
