Healthy Vegan Food - Edit
My tour guide found this place for me and after a long hot day of sight-seeing, it was a treat to get a passion-fruit drink and a huge Buddha bowl salad full of fresh veggies, beans, seeds and fruit with a tasty coconut dressing on the side. We got there at 4pm and it was quite full with mostly American students at the 3 regular size tables and 2 lower tables, where you sit on the floor. Several cats roam around, sleeping on the cushions and chairs.

Good, but... - Edit
While very impressed with some of the dishes I’ve had here, the last time I ate here I realized that I’d been eating EGG tofu in dish that is clearly marked as VEGAN. Also witnessed a vegan customer being humiliated by a staff worker (man) for ordering a dish and not seeing that it was vegetarian and contains egg. Seems that even some of the vegan dishes contain egg, so I’d advise everyone to question the ingredients being used before hand to avoid having an experience like this.

Obsessed. I come here everyday! - Edit
I am currently living in Bangkok and have been coming here every single day to eat. They have an incredible variety of options for vegans for breakfast lunch and dinner. I highly recommend eating here. They also rescue cats, and I swear I could snuggle with the cats all day long here. To top it off, the staff is remarkable and make me smile and feel so welcomed every day😊💗

We are fantastic here. The green curry was awesome! We also ate the falafel salad... also the kombucha was delicious. The setting is a bit shabby but it just adds to the character. Very friendly service where they also spoke English.

Favourite restaurant in thailand - Edit
I went there multiple times. Had the best food on my 30day travel trough thailand in this restaurant. They have a cool mix between healthy and really tasty. The food was great, they have a big range of veggi and vegan food. The staff is also very nice. Atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy. The pat see u is great, so is their coconut mixed berry smoothie.

Nice place but not the best pad thai - Edit
Mango is a cute place with cats. The staff is welcoming, the vegan menu is huge and you have plenty of choice in terms of both Thai and Western food. I had the fried tempeh with a spicy sauce that was really good, but their pad thai was a little bit disappointing. The vegetables were varied and good but there was no link with the noodles that came like a cake in the bottom of the plate. There was no sauce to mix them all and the whole dish was not really interesting. Only the vegetables were. My friends had better dishes (curry and soup) so I was maybe unlucky. Their fresh juices were good and they serve huge portions for the price. I think it worth it giving a try.

Ate here once while staying in the area. We had the mango pad Thai and Singapore noodles. Variety of well cooked veggies, but we would have liked a bit more spice and stronger punch of flavour. The smoothies we had here were amazing though!

The food is phenomenal! A little bit on the pricey side but so worth it, and you get huge portions. So many vegan options, it was hard to choose!! An adorable cat came and snuggled up to my feet while I ate as well. Can't wait to come back!

I didn’t like the pesto noodle dish I ordered - something was off about the flavoring. I’m guessing it might be a one-off thing... I very much enjoyed the cats though!

Best Vegan I Found In Bangkok - Edit
I tried several places around the city and this place was a cut above everyone else. Incredibly fresh, delicious, creative and enormous portion sizes (almost freakishly so, you could easily share any of the main dishes I ordered). Cute little spot too, AC. I want to make special mention of their breakfasts too. Some of the best vegan breakfast I’ve had anywhere. Smoothie bowls, oatmeal bowls, vegan pancakes, all yum to the max!

Best vegan food in Bangkok - Edit
I don’t say “best food” lightly! My boyfriend and I have been all over and tried pretty much every vegan restaurant and this was our favorite. What we ordered was so flavorful and I enjoyed every bite. The food is so fresh, the veggies aren’t over cooked, they have an entire health drinks menu, and the cats are adorable. Only downside is if you’re someone who’s allergic to cats. Compared to a lot of the sleezy restaurants around Khao San road, this one is cheaper in comparison. And the portions are HUGE! I would come back a million times.

Mixed feelings - Edit
They have an incredible menu with so many dishes that look amazing, but I was a bit disappointed by the food, it’s good but not very extraordinary. And it is expensive for what it is. We had 3 meals there and each time I wanted to give it a new chance, but it is too expensive for the thai food. But the juices and kombucha are amazing!

I had tofu green curry with black rice which was very tasty and rather filling.
Read moreThe dish didn’t come with rice so that’s extra which makes the whole meal a little bit expensive.
Staff was really friendly and atmosphere is really chilled.
It is a little bit pricey so if you’re on a tight budget go there if you want a vegan treat :)

Cons: little bit pricey

Worst Vegan meal I've had in 6 months of travel - Edit
Walking into this place you are greeted with a strong scent of cat urine. Don't get me wrong, I love animals but not when they jump on the table while I'm eating. Aside from the cat hair that accompanied our meal, the food itself was weird. The curry contained the odd ingredients of black beans, kidney beans, cherry tomatoes, sweet potatoes and more. Just a really strange mix which wasn't pleasant. The curry sauce was fine but sweet. The staff wasn't very attentive or smiley but it's pretty standard of Thailand. Overall, you can get a better vegan meal at a local Thai restaurant and the cleanliness levels will be about the same

Thai food is average, great smoothies - Edit
I like to try the local food wherever I go - when in Rome, as they say. Vegetarian restaurants give me the confidence to do so. In Thailand, I wouldn’t have to worry about shrimp paste or fish sauce. At Mango, I ordered the glass noodle tom yum soup and my partner ordered the papaya salad. The tom yum was marked as ‘quite spicy’ - I chose it because I love spicy food. I also ordered a passionfruit coconut milk smoothie.
Read moreThe tom yum was not tom yum!!! The flavours were actually very good but it was a clear white soup with two pieces of chilli in it. I liked it, but I wish they wouldn’t call it tom yum! The papaya salad was very good, but not actual papaya salad (it had pineapple in it).
It seems the Thai food here is their own interpretation of it for Westerners, which was a bit disappointing. The people on the table next to us ordered pancakes and a Western breakfast. Their food looked delicious, but I didn’t want to go to Thailand to eat pancakes! Oh well, each to their own. Judging by other reviews, I think this place does better Western food than Thai food, just as a heads-up.
Definitely try the coconut milk smoothie if you come here. It was absolutely delicious. There are lots of vegan options marked in green too.
After we saw the bill at 1500 baht, we decided we were better off eating street food. If you’re a lacto-ovo vegetarian like me, you’ll have no problem. You can easily order egg pad Thai “mai sai goong, mai sai nam pla” for 40 baht and get fresh fruit smoothies for 20 baht. But I understand it’s is in a touristy area so prices would naturally be higher, and this place is great for vegans who would find street food very challenging.
There is a really cute cat hanging around. I wish I could have petted him but I’m allergic. I had trouble avoiding him as he’s very affectionate!
If you’re taking a taxi, the official address is 17 Tanao Rd.
There’s my super honest review. Happy eating! :)

Tasty and cozy - Edit
So obviously it's not the cheapest place in Bangkok but it's definitely amazing food and good quantity/quality for the price (more affordable than Ethos imo). I ended up going there a few times for breakfast and dinner (pancakes are amazing and super fluffy). The place is a little small and can get quite busy at times but in the morning it's very cozy and quiet ! I would definitely recommend if you're around Khao San Road and craving breakfast foods or just healthy Thai food !
