Tofu is NOT vegetarian at Manchu

The server told me the tofu and veggies are cooked in chicken broth. I was incredulous since these items are usually "accidentally" vegan at counter-serve places, so I asked at another Manchu Wok location and they confirmed this. This server told me they contain chicken and so are "vegetarian, but not vegan." I warned him chicken is not vegetarian either, but be aware some preparers don't know this when you're asking about veg options. Not sure there's anything veg here other than plain white rice, although you could ask about the steamed veggies (I didn't).

Bland

The most tasteless American-Chinese food I’ve ever had. Maybe the most bland meal I’ve ever had? Even plain white rice is better because at least you’re expecting it to be bland. I ordered white rice, mixed vegetables, and the spicy tofu (the two veg options they had at the time). It wasn’t inedible, but I will not be back.

I tasted some of my snacks to verify I still had taste buds and this wasn’t a COVID situation before posting.

Pros: Warm

Cons: Expensive , Bland, Tasteless
