Homely, cheap, yummy grub!

I love this place, you can get a full, hearty meal for about £3.70! The staff are really lovely and passionate about what they do. Disability friendly and has a community feel. This is a no frills, mama’s kitchen kind of place where you will be well looked after. I first passed through here as a weary traveller and left feeling on top of the world, I now stop by at every opportunity. Highly recommended!

Pros: All vegan, great food, crazy cheap, great staff, Cool events. You get to meet an axolotl, The ginger shot will sort you out

Cons: Be prepared for a wait at busy times

Poor

Advertised on here as opening at 9, on their leaflet as 10, on their sign which was out in the street implying it was open as 10:30 but on the door as 12. They have a different name on here than in person and overall very confusing and not autism friendly at all as they say they are! Won't try to return when they might possibly be open.

Pros: None

Cons: Different names advertised , Different opening times advertised, Not autism friendly

Cheap eats, fun times

Cozy little café in Affleck's Palace on the ground floor. The food is nice simple vegan fair and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. It's a little hidden gem of a place. It's a proper old school café as you'd expect.

Pros: Great value, Chilled cozy atmosphere

Best breakfast ever!

I had an all day breakfast here yesterday and it was superb! Really tasty and fresh, and the gram flour egg was 👌👌. Shame they're closed on Sundays cos I'd have gone back for another one this morning. About half the price of other vegan breakfasts in Manchester city centre too!

Great little place

Nice to find a completely vegan place. I was expecting a bit more activism and information as it calls its self the vegan centre. Took a star off for the creature in the tank.

Pros: All vegan , Lovely staff

Cons: The creature in the fish tank

Would do 1 star if possible

I walked in here to have a look after seeing so much about it. First thing I saw was an axolotl in a tiny tank that wasn’t very clean. Turned around and walked out.

Great little find

Quirky little place, staff nice and friendly. Service was a wee bit slow but they were very busy when we went on a Saturday. Food was really tasty, I had the Empandas with Chilli. More than I could eat, really good value for money.

Pros: Value for money, you won't starve here!

Cons: None

Pleasant, Friendly and Cheap

This place is really lovely. The staff are brilliant and it's got a nice feel. I do agree that the food is pretty average when there's loads of great options nearby. But it is super cheap and the food is nice so I think it works out as god value for money.

I think Nexus is the real competition given location, price and feel. I prefer here for food but Nexus for coffee and a quiet sit down.

It's OK for Manchester

Anywhere else in the world this cafe would be excellent, it has lots of options and different milk alternatives (the caramel almond milk latte is delish). But in Manchester, compared to some of the other vegan restaurants it doesn't really stand up in terms of quality of the food.

Don't get me wrong, it's a great, cheap little cafe. Ideal for a quick lunch if you're in the area.

Service is a little slow and confused, but that may be the relaxed, family feel to it and all part of the quaint charm.

Pros: Quaint, Cheap

Cons: Confused service, Only just average food

Affordable Vegan yummies 💚

Lovely afternoon visiting this vegan cafe.
My husband and I both enjoyed tasty curry, good coffee and a great gooey chocolate cake all prepared completely fresh on the day and totally vegan.
In a quirky little setting that was so cosy and welcoming.
Staff were lovely and price was pretty amazing. I wish I lived nearby this would very quickly become a regular haunt for me.
I wish them every success with what they are offering here and won't hesitate to visit every time I'm in Manchester.

Affordable and nice

Very affordable, you can totally tell from the appearance of the food that it's all homemade, I got a Mediterranean burger, and it was very delicious, portion wasn't very bigger tho, very it's reasonable. The owner/the staff (an older couple) were very friendly and funny. Only opened until 4 tho, as the place would turn into a theatre in the evening

Pros: Cheap, Nice options

Cons: Opening hours is short
