Very chill place

A nice place to chill during the long day.
I have ordered a falafel wrap and a fresh juice. I can’t remember the overall price but I think it was like 10£.
I liked that the menu was small but you could choose what you like easily. No need to sit and stare at the menu.
Everything was tasty and seemed fresh.
The guys were so nice and talkative. I wish they could be more visible from the outside. I was like 10 minutes wondering where it is. But does not mean that they’re bad! It’s just a little inconvenience.
I was super happy to visit this place!

Pros: Cheap, Good atmosphere , Clean toilets

Cons: Hard to find

Delicious food with chilled out cafe vibe

Food was both delicious and cheap, lots of healthy options if you want it. Lovely place to chill in with lots of seating, and lovely staff

Great value tasty food

The staff were so friendly and both had great energy. The food was very tasty and homemade.
The juices are an added bonus too! I had the wrap and juice deal for £6.
I'll definitely be returning

An oasis amongst chaos

After the fun chaos that is Afflecks, make sure you stop here for some calm and good food.

Service is a little slow, so don't come when you're in a rush - this is a place to be savoured!

Birdsong twitters away as you relax. Sipping your smoothie, and munching away at some amazing food combinations.

Almost missed it!

The two of us enjoyed a midmorning meal. Quiet, relaxing music. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. The breakfast, MVC Lunch box and smoothies were fab with all fresh ingredients. Even offered extra daal with the lunch box after I ran out, portions were big enough to say no thank you but gave us a couple of extra original--moroccan-recipe falafel to try on the way out. Amazing little place!

Pros: Service, Fresh, Value

Cons: None

Quirky place with good food

I loved the food I ate here, but it wasn't anything special.

The bird sounds gave the place a weird atmosphere, although I feel the intention behind it, it makes the place a bit 'creepy'.

Pros: Nice staff, Good food

Cons: Weird bird sounds

Good priced tasty food in lovely cafe

I went here with a friend who’s not vegan and she really enjoyed the dhal lunch box (sorry, not sure of exact name but there’s was Dahl, rice, tofu, salad). She’d never eaten scrambled tofu and really liked it. She was offered extra rice because she’d left some of the Dahl - only because she was full! I had the breakfast which was really nice because it just wasn’t greasy at all. Nice spice cake to follow and cheap tea/coffee. We didn’t mind the background birdsong either. There were plenty of people in there on a Sat afternoon and it makes a change from having to talk over music all the time.

Pros: Good prices, Tasty food, Nice atmosphere

So tasty!!

To some it might not look like much but I personally love the alternative style of this place. Fits right in at Afflecks.
The food was just absolutely WOW!
I had the English breakfast wrap and it was just perfect. Really tasty sauce and all ingredients so so yum.
I wish I could have tried more food and also if I ever go back to Manchester I have to eat there again!
Also, staff was really friendly and helpful and let me try some of their kombucha, so I could decide if I want some or not. It was tasty ;)
Only negative point I can find is that it would be nice if they had less plastic packaging for take away.

Pros: Very very yum, Very friendly staff, English breakfast in a wrap!

Cons: A bit much plastic packaging for take away

Good food

On the street level, just inside the Oldham Street entrance. The Breakfast Wrap was good and reasonably priced at £5.

Cons: unimaginative name ;-)

New management

Really tasty food, nice salads and wraps. However, since the new management the atmosphere is awkward. No music, just bird noises as a soundtrack? Also we watched a mouse walk around the kitchen without a care in the world. Unfortunately couldn't recommend this place.

Pros: All vegan

Cons: Mice, no atmosphere

cheap and cheerful

Just had a breakfast here and it was really nice at a good price. The staff were very friendly and we did not have to wait long for our meal, I will certainly be going there again.

Good vegan breakfast

Had a all-day vegan breakfast for lunch which was a very decent portion, tasty sausages and good price £6. Natural juice was great, fresh, made on spot, a bit expensive £3 but worth it.

Pros: Very central, Good prices

Cons: Feels a bit like a basement

Non-traditional full English brekky

Came here for brekky and had their Full English Breakfast (£6) which wasn’t so traditional with some veggies but was quite good nonetheless. I also had a chocolate brownie (£3) which was thick and fudgy like a good brownie should be! The prices are quite decent for all vegan food and the service was lovely. I agree with a review below - this would normally be a great cafe but just lacks a little something compared to other vegan places in Manchester.

Brilliant and quirky cafe

Brilliant and quirky little cafe doing amazing food! The salads were particularly nice. Very good value for money and lovely helpful staff. As we left they flickered us homemade falafels to try. They were the best falafels I’ve ever tasted!

Pros: Good hygiene , Delicious salads, Not expensive

Wonderful, quirky place!

I visited twice on a recent trip to Manchester. Friendly service from people who love what they do. And decent, honest, tasty food on the menu. One day I had the lentil shepherd's pie, the next day the full English Breakfast. The vegan 'eggs' were the tastiest I've ever had. When I return to Manchester I'll be coming back here for sure!

UPDATE SEPTEMBER 2019: Now under new management who are keeping the ethos but making subtle changes. Dog friendly. The new people are very friendly, food is great, and one of the best value vegan eateries in Manchester.

Pros: Great value, Wide choice , Dog friendly
