Big portions - Edit
We had a soup, a salad and some smoothies here, all of which were very nice. As we came late-ish, options were a bit limited, but what was available was good. Portions were so big that we ended up taking the smoothies to-go and had them for breakfast the next morning. Staff was friendly and accomodating, place very cute

i agree with previous posts - Edit
super expensive for a very meh meal in my opinion. i got the daal and it was just like fine. there was some sort of sweet sauce that was in it that i didn’t love but it was fine but didn’t need to be that much!!! also i found a small hair in it 😖 i also got a chocolate ball thing which was way overpriced but it actually was REALLY GOOD. i would go back just to get more of the chocolate but nothing else. my only qualm with that is that the little container it was in had a little live bug in it. like a fly or something just buzzing around. they need to be more careful about bugs getting into food because that’s pretty bad!

Amazing! - Edit
Someone told us this was the hippie center of Iceland, and the vibe definitely echoed that! It was very cozy and the staff was incredibly friendly. There weren’t a ton of options, but our meals were all so filling, flavorful, and colorful. I loved the kombucha on tap, and everyone in my group (omnivores included) loved the cheesecake so much we came back later in our trip to have it again.

High Price for Basic V Food - Edit
Mama is a convenient place to stop while in central Reykjavik if you are looking for an exclusively vegan restaurant, but be prepared to pay the price—like double of what you’d pay outside of Iceland.
Read moreI ordered the African peanut stew because I couldn’t justify paying €18 for a Dahl at a non-Indian run restaurant. The stew was flavorful (maybe a mix of a tomato and peanut butter base) and the portion size was generous, but because the texture was a bit thin, it was not as filling as I’d hoped.
If money isn’t an issue and you are into a yogic and new-agey space, this space may suit you. If not, there are a couple more budget friendly options elsewhere in town.

Great, lucky find! - Edit
Great little vegan “Mother Earth” feel in heart of the city. We had dal (very good, sweet and flavorful), sweet potato chili (tasty, sweet and spicy), a nice portobello sandwich and a great potato salad salad. We ate in top floor with nice lounge feel. Awesome location. Modest pricing. Beer and kombucha.

A perfect vegan cafe in the centre of Reykjavik, with great food, friendly staff, and plenty of space. Good wifi too, and a choice of different kinds of place to sit. Soups and salads highly recommended!

Great atmosphere! - Edit
I thought this was a great little nook in Reykjavik. It is definitely a healthy option & seems like it would connect well with those on a spiritual path. The food was pretty good! It wasn't my favourite options we had in Iceland, but I think that's just the nature of what they are trying to achieve :)

Cheesecake - Edit
Since the food was too expensive to have and the menu was limited to 3 options, we opted for a dessert. The Orgasm Cheesecake sounded better than it was. The base did taste like cheesecake, but it was almost too frozen to cut through. We had a moulding blueberry on the plate and the slice was so thin for 1,490. It tasted alright, but wouldn’t return.
Read moreDahl was 2,300 and a salad was upwards of 2,100 as well. That’s $17 for what impoverished people in India eat. I know Iceland is expensive, but I wish they would serve better meals then.
Pros: Vegan food available , Nice atmosphere
Cons: Expensive , Limited menu, No quality control

Really tasty food and great atmosphere. - Edit
The food was great. I got the rainbow salad which was a perfect combination of sweet, sour, savoury, fresh and crunchy. My friend got the dahl and finished it really quickly because he said it tasted so good.

Not my type - Edit
I really wanted to like this place, but I just couldn't. Food was bad and bland, atmosphere was boring vegan-hippie stereotype and staff was too preachy. I really try to support vegan places, but with this one it is just impossible 😕
