Best vegan meal in France - Edit
This is easily the best vegan meal I’ve had in France! The patio is on a quiet, quaint courtyard. Friendly wait staff. I had the hummus and the Bombay burger. The pickle on the falafel was out of this world! The quinoa burger was delightful and was served with homemade panisse. Yum! I highly recommend Mama Gaia for any vegan who wants a very special meal in one of my favorite towns on the Côte d’Azur.

We had a vegan fig tart, which was super good but a tad overpriced (€8,50 for one piece). The place seemed lovely

Hidden Vegan Gem - Edit
We love this little town! Visiting from London, we were very pleased we found this wonderful place to eat dinner! It is truly a Hidden Gem, tucked away in a quiet location. We were with family whose French is quite good, however, the Chef's English was fantastic and her understanding of our daughter allergies through the language barrier was faultless; she kindly prepared our daughter an allergy free plate! Very grateful! The food was delicious, and a small bonus: their red wine was vegan too!

As promised, we returned on this visit from London and was not disappointed. Great communication in English via Facebook chat to discuss our booking and our daughters allergies. 4 adults enjoyed their main in-between a lovely sharing starter and delicious desserts! Thank you again for accommodating us. Kind wishes to you all!

Delicious and great service - Edit
We really enjoyed visiting Mama Gaia and if we had come across it earlier we would have visited more than once! Vegetarian and vegan, with a vegan entree and two vegan mains when we visited - menu changes often. The chocolate mousse for dessert was the most convincing vegan mousse I have ever had - if they hadn't been so clear on what was vegetarian and what was vegan I would have been worried!!

Excellent - Edit
We went here with a big group after doing a hike in the mountains behind Vence. Had some very refreshing juice and ice cream which was great. The location is awesome hidden away in a small square in the old town.

A haven of good food and hospitality! - Edit
The restaurant is located in a charming old square that invites you to get in. As we approached the door, the door opens and we were greeted by a young woman and her smile. She was very kind and helped me and my family to sit in her wonderful and cosy restaurant. The food was delicious, we had the sweet potatoes with chickpeas as the main dish, the juices of the day, a very tasty beer and two chocolate mousse. Besides the food, we could see that all tiny details were planned, the plates, the coffee cups, even the bathroom was charming. Congratulations for an excellent restaurant!

lovely surprise - Edit
pleasantly surprised to find Mama Gaia's .. i'm vegan and my mom is gluten free vegetarian - both can be difficult in the smaller towns, then we turned a corner and Voila! there was a sign that said "vegan" and "gluten free" . the menu changes often (written on a chalkboard that is brought to the table to choose from). On the day that we were there, they had one vegan option (and it was a delicious pasta with seitan and veggies). I wish i could remember what my mom order, but she was happy with it (gluten free). The employees were very nice and the girl even offered to help with any translation issues we needed. Lovely outdoor seating in a cute little square.

Excellent and healthy food - Edit
The little town of Vence is difficult for no-meat eaters and Mama Gaïa is a surprising unexpected place. Very quiet with very a kind team, you can find an excellent daily menu (with vegan and gluten free options), fresh, tasty, healthy and abundant food for a price lower than in the restaurants around...

Delicious Sunday Brunch - Edit
Had a lovely Sunday afternoon outside here. We had the brunch made vegan, which consisted of a hearty course (little Mexican salad, some pieces of toasted baguette, hummus and grilled peppers) and a sweet course (chocolate mousse, which was delicious!!) with a fruit-vegetable juice and tea. The food was excellent and fresh and the staff were very kind and thoughtful. Would definitely recommend!
