Menu had lots of words on it that I didnt know - but the prices were decent considering! And it was amazing. We went as a big group of 12, and the food came out really quick and hot - we also preordered a whole birthday cake which was amazing and came out at the end of our meal! Staff were lovely too. I love sister restaurant Mildred’s, so had high expectations. While all was good, I wasn’t as blown away as I hoped to be. Recommend the pakora okra and sticky toffee pudding. My friends enjoyed the borek and the jambalaya. My laksa was good but wasn’t special. Wasn’t impressed with the roast beetroot small dish and the creme brûlée was decent. Still prefer Mildred’s but will probably go back to Mallow to try the brunch.

This 100% vegan restaurant is my FAVOURITE place to go! The menus are delicious and seasonal. I went last week and their laksa, porcini walnut date borek, creme brulee and sticky toffee pudding were amazing. I’d eat here everyday if I could 😂

We had shiitake miso croquettes for starter and a mushroom biryani and another main. The starter was good, but felt underwhelmed by the biryani. The second main was also good, though.

We've eaten at the Borough Market Mallow a few times - lunches and evening meal - and its always been a very positive experience.

The restaurant isn't huge (has 2 floors) and it's always been busy when we've visited so it can feel slightly cramped if it's really full - but the atmosphere is great though.
Staff are always friendly and helpful.
Would probably recommend making a booking if you want to be sure to get a table.

Whenever we’re in London, we go to Mallow. It’s one of our alltime favourite restaurants. If possible, make a reservation for the ground floor. Upstairs the noise can be too much.
The restaurant was cometely booked. We had to wait for almost an hour for our meal.

Such a lovely meal again here. I had the Laksa with tofu any my partner had the beetroot tempeh burger. We shared a free bottle of Prosecco too for my birthday (such a nice gesture). The gochujang sauce served with the burger was sublime.

The restaurant is nicely decorated ând thé staff pleasant. I had the beetroot tempeh burger that was good ând the kimchi side was nice. Thé sausage dish was spicy and agréable but the rice dish not a hit. Similar level to Mildreds, not mémorable but enjoyable

The kimchi brioche croque monsieur brought my partner to tears which neither of us had ever experienced before it was so awesome. We almost ordered a second one. The French toast was excellent as well as the lattes. The restaurant was beautiful and staff fantastic. Can’t recommend it enough. Went back two weeks later and just as amazing. #Veganuary

Decorated Vegan Food Experience - Edit
Mallow, steps from Borough Market, offers a decorated experience for the middle-class diner. Although their prices seem high, most will be satisfied by the results—food and pictures alike.
Read moreTheir exterior has a repurposed charm, accented with painted flowers. The interior is clean and presently modern, with exposed brick, soft lighting, and eclectic, although comfortable, seating--the kind of place that makes influencers drool.
The English breakfast contains a variety of food but few surprises. There is an Indian twist on the beans and side sauce, but nothing convinces you that the 17.50 price tag is worth the order. The sausage comes close, with a grainy, rice texture interior with plenty of fennel and a thin casing holding it all in.
The Black Forest pancakes impressed. The chocolatey smell wafted up into the air as soon as they arrived. The balance of the deep dark chocolate and the decadent raspberry red (with an edible flower on top) builds anticipation. I was pleasantly surprised by the cup of vanilla cream, meant to pour over the hot cakes—an addition that my American tastebuds didn’t understand.
Mallow is an impressively wrapped box with a satisfying gift inside. Although pricey, the food and photos will more than makeup for the casual diner.

Read moreThe only item that fell flat for me was a sausage and cauliflower mash entree - I didn’t get much flavor from it but my partner loved it so like most things it is in the eye of the beholder (taster)!
Try the bread pudding for dessert :)
Just make sure you have a dinner reservation in advance and note that it will be pricey.
