Great vegan meal and service - Edit
The service was really great for us. I would especially recommend the porcini croquettes for starter and the kumquat lemon meringue pie for dessert. They also had a nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from.

Incredible - Edit
Went for a birthday meal and enjoyed every second. We had a few different small plates to start with, the porcini croquettes being the star, and then had the market thali and tacos for the main. Definitely recommend getting everything to share to try more things! Also finished with the best desserts since turning vegan!

Disappointing - Edit
We had the feta starter which was just lettuce leaves without dressing and a few feta crumbles. The mains were both not very flavourful and small portions. My miso rice noodles were swimming in a watery sauce with chewy mushrooms. The tacos were ok as I said could have been much more exciting. The desert (carrot cake) was the best dish but tiny. We will definitely not go there again. I would recommend Mildred’s instead. #Veganuary

Oh. My. Christ. - Edit
Some of the best food I’ve ever put in my mouth. The waiter asked how it was, I was unable to reply with actual words and just moaned in his face. Only guttural yelps can accurately describe the heavenliness of this food. Get. Here. Now. You won’t regret a second of it. Plan your next long weekend around this place. Staff are a delight too. #Veganuary

Best vegan restaurant ever - Edit
This was honestly the best meal I have had in a VERY long time. I came for my birthday, the waiters were so lovely and attentive. The food was beyond delicious, even my non-vegan mum was extremely impressed. I’ll be recommending Mallow to everyone I know. #Veganuary

Delicious & Stylish Dining Spot - Edit
Loved this new spot by the Mildred’s fan. The Jerusalem artichoke small plate and chicken burger were top notch.

Just lovely - Edit
Perhaps it's just the excitement of a rural vegan to be able to eat in fully vegan restaurant with interesting offerings... But I think this place is genuinely wonderful. It's comfortable, the food was plentiful and delicious, very friendly service, and located right near the Tate Modern so part of a very enjoyable day out. Vegan Croque-Monsiuer was particularly amazing! Highly recommended.

Fantastic meal - Edit
We had a lovely meal here. The food was inventive, tasty and beautifully presented. The staff were very good, not intrusive but attentive enough.
Read moreOne thing I've missed in restaurants since becoming vegan is desserts - so many places have nothing vegan or just sorbet. The vegan crème brûlée in Mallow was just amazing, I can't even begin to guess how it was made.
I can't wait to go again.
The only detracting point was my OH's hot chocolate which was very disappointing - not hot and not chocolatey, but as soon as I complained they said they would remove it from the bill.
Pros: Completely vegan menu

Beautiful in every way - Edit
In a stunning historical building, beautifully decorated serving gorgeous food from the team at Mildred's. Cocktails were all great, a really mean bloody Mary. We tried 10 different dishes shared 4-way and they were all flavoursome and delicious. I recommend arriving after 4pm so you get the full menu. Lebanese inspirations abundant in the menu. Lots of seasonal veg and fermented foods.

Annoying meal - Edit
The tables are too close together and the music too loud. The servers asked the table next to us twice if the food was okay and then asked them if they wanted dessert while the woman was still chewing her burger. Intrusively attentive staff that are always hovering. The porcini croquettes were delicious but the beetroot borani was small and disappointing. They forgot my smoothie and when it came, it wasn't blended well. A very hit and miss experience.

Mediocre experience - Edit
Over priced, shadowed by its sister company Mildred’s…not sure what the previous reviewer is talking about. There was 1 gluten-free option on the mains. As a fan of Mildred’s it was a bit of a let down. The ambience and decor is very nice. It is very crammed in, music way too loud for a dinner setting.

Fantastic fine dining - Edit
Wow! The best restaurant food and service that I've had over 4 decades of being veggie and vegan. With lots of gluten free options. The food was amazing. Came quickly. Attentive and friendly staff. All sourced from Borough Market (where Mallow is sited). Simply brilliant. And the cocktails are worth a try too!
