The food was sooo good, I got their burger and it was flavourful, the bun was also fluffy and crispy and just an enjoyable experience. The deserts were a very nice ending and well presented loved it and Recommendthis place!

Read moreThe bread with the charcoal butter was tasty and unusual. Our appetizer tasted nice, particularly the dip. But things went downhill as it related to the entrees. The chicken sandwich was just OK. The layered potato with an artichoke side was terrible. The potato was so dry and the artichokes had an odd flavor. It's very rare I leave an artichoke behind and I left basically all of them behind at Mallow.
A bit of a disappointing experience for us...

Lovely vegan food - Edit
A lovely bright restaurant with a fabulous vegan menu. We decided to share a few small plates so we could experience as many tastes as possible. The food was so delicious and we enjoyed every plate. The bread with black garlic butter was fantastic. We also had a bottle of the Portuguese red wine which was really lovely. For dessert we shared the creme brûlée which I would highly recommend.

However it’s a wonderful restaurant and we’ll definitely go back

Really nice spot near the market. Food was really good, you have to try the pancakes! (They we’re so good I didn’t have time to take a picture 😂). The Dahl, toast with hummus and burgers were delicious as well. Great value for money.

Made a reservation here and had three courses. The starter was bread on a grey plate. Oh wait the grey is a kind of garlic butter! Loved the twist and the presentation. Afterwards I had a burger and a creme brulee. Both were very good, but shy of the wow-factor. Still a 4,5 star if I could give. The location is solid, next to the Borough market. Staff was kind enough to hold my reservation when the metro had issues.

I was excited to go here after reading all the positive reviews, but my experience was quite disappointing. The menu is all over the place with a mix of different cuisines - usually not a good sign. The dishes are just trying too hard, with combinations of flavors and textures that just don't go together very well. The food was okay overall, but really not amazing.
Read moreI got the dumplings as a starter - the filling was flavorless and the kimchi they're served with was too strong and overpowering. As a main dish, I got the artichoke caponata, which was just okay. It's served with a potato pave which was really dry, and a red pepper and pine nut sauce which was the best part of the dish, but there wasn't enough of it. Then for dessert I got the raspberry s'mores tart - how could you possibly go wrong, right? But even that wasn't very good. The crust was too hard, the chocolate filling was hard instead of creamy, and the whole thing was overpowered by cinnamon which really didn't belong.
I also didn't enjoy the atmosphere. The tables are too close together and seating is on a long sofa that goes all around the room. Dining solo that night, I was squashed in between two other tables and felt very uncomfortable. To top it off, every time a waiter came to take an order from one of the other tables, I basically had their rear end in my face.
Service is friendly but quite slow and not really attentive.

A restaurant and a bar!!! - Edit
Mallow is a real restaurant with a bar counter. So it is perfect if you want to have a drink and a burger, or any kind of more elaborate dish. The chef ifs very creative, you get lots a different options, and everything is executed with precision (perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, perfectly presented on the plate). The service is fast and friendly. All around, you’ll have a great experience.

Our first time as vegans in England - of course we had to try a vegan English Breakfast. It was amazing. The place is pretty cool, the stuff friendly and the food were so great. We shared a raspberry tarte as dessert. It is our last day in London for now - but I will come back and try the other dishes.
