Good food - Edit
I really liked that they labeled their vegan dishes on the menu. I got the cholay biryani and the masala fries. It was all good. And the portions are generous, I had enough leftovers for a 2nd meal later. I will return and try the samosas next time.

Really enjoyed it - Edit
I would not recommend deviating from the marked VGN options, but I really enjoyed them! The sweet potato chaat was excellent, and I liked the Shalimar Thali and the biryani. It's really hard to find vegan options in town, especially MARKED vegan options, and this was a great choice.

Get the masala fries!! - Edit
I hate to go against the grain here and give 3 stars (it would be more like a 4/5, but because of happy cow’s rating system for non-vegan places I am going with a 3), because I really wanted to love it, but we have been twice now and I have not been super impressed with the vegan options for entrees. It has not been bad, just not great. I am happy that they have vegan options at all though. Unfortunately, vegan options are not at all plentiful in Charleston.
Read moreOn our first visit, we were told the mango drink had no dairy so we got it, but on the second visit, we were told that it has dairy. They also served a dip that very much looked yogurt based with a main that was labeled as vegan. I know vegan yogurt exists so it’s definitely possible it was vegan, but because of the other experience, I am not super confident in their determination of what is vegan.
HOWEVER, if you are looking for a light meal / snack, it is worth a visit for the masala fries alone!! They are amazing. They also have a really great spiced lemonade.
Pros: masala fries, lemonade , vegan options
Cons: a bit of confusion about what is vegan, options for vegan mains are just ok

Outstanding - Edit
Was recommended to stop here while on vacation. I would drive well out of my way to go here again. Everything we had was delicious and about half the menu is vegetarian.

Delicious oasis in a sea of meat-only restaurants - Edit
Tasty, and consistent quality vegan options. We love it. It may be the only place keeping me in South Carolina right now.

So flavorful - Edit
Got takeout for the family today. I had the lahori cholay plate. Party also ordered the aloo tiki roll (vegetarian) and the chapli kabob plate (meat) and we all enjoyed! The portion sizes were plentiful and I split mine into two meals. Will definitely go again!
