Terrible and over priced - Edit
If I could give 0 stars I would. Some of the worst vegan food I’ve had in the bay.
Read moreWe got the Philly cheese steak, the La Lulu burger, and the Lizard Salas and they were all so bad.
The Philly cheese steak didn’t resemble a Philly in any way possible. The flavor was very bad, pretty sweet for some reason, and it had no onions or peppers.
The salad had decent flavor but had way way too much dressing on it making it almost inedible.
The La Lulu burger was also disappointing. The patty was dry and tough to chew.
Cons: Expensive, Bad food, Sad interior l

Best Burger Spot - Edit
To date, it’s the best burger spot I’ve been to in the Bay Area. Gilly Philly is amazing. I’ve loved all the burgers. Tots come super crispy. Milk shakes are amazing.

Damn good, but way overpriced - Edit
This hits the spot when it comes to burger and fries cravings - all plant based. Yay!!
Read moreSolid, diverse options. I’m glad you can always switch out the patty, since I am not a fan of the impossible burger. The fried chick’n is killer, so is the pretzel bun. Fries are good too. I do not like the BBQ sauce and I find it sort of disturbing that their ketchup are these tiny Heinz pouches that have HFCS in them. Seriously??? Plus it adds a lot of unnecessary waste.
For that price range and business model, I’d hope for a different ketchup. This makes me quite skeptical of the quality and ingredients of their other food products.
Pros: Full-on vegan , High in protein
Cons: High-fructose corn syrup ketchup; , Way too expensive for the quality, Gives ketchup and utensils without asking

Good food - Edit
Had the La Lulu Chick'n Sandwich, onion rings and chocolate hazelnut shake. All were great and would order again. Chick’n sando was one of the best I’ve had.

Welcome to Burger City - Edit
I was so excited to finally go here! And it totally lived up to expectations. Some good ole hearty goodness. It wasn’t *fast* fast-food (you might want to order ahead), and I was disappointed to not try their fried “chicken” sampler bucket, but the food sure was delish. We got a couple of burgers and garlic fries. Yum yum yum, def gonna be going back.

Expensive and just ok - Edit
I love caramelized onions but theirs were just sickly sweet. I may try something without the onions at some point but i’m not in a rush, especially for the price. Such a bummer because I had been hearing about this place for so long and was excited to try them.

Super tasty and filling burgers - Edit
Malibu has a simple, but excellent menu of mostly burgers, some sides (including a few different fry options), and shakes. All the burgers taste amazing, particularly the chicken-based options. They pair very well with a side of tator tots.
Read moreThere’s not of a lot of seating inside or out, so be prepared to take your burger elsewhere.
Pros: Very well-done burgers, Friendly staff
Cons: Lack of seating

Good fast food option - Edit
I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and tater tots. The cheesesteak had a sweet onion sauce which was overpowering and kind of ruined the flavor for me. The tater tots were good and the staff was friendly.

People what are you waiting for?? This place should have lines of people and tons of reviews. This is not an Impossible Whopper it's In N out Burger on steroids and it's VEGAN!! Thier Hella Hella Tater Tots are Fire 🔥, Shakes straight up BOMB 💣, Patti Melt killed it, but wait there's more...... They do a chk'n sandwich and it's on a Vegan Brioche Bun!!! And the chk'n is killing it can you imagine getting an In N Out buger @ the same place you get a Chick-fil-A sandwich? It's not supposed to happen. They blew my mind hats off MB, hats Off to you!

Alright - Edit
I was stoked to try this place off of their Instagram and also because I really love supporting black vegan businesses. I was a little disappointed- the burger was alright, nothing special. Certainly not $16 worthy. I’d go again if presented as the only vegan food truck in the area, but not to seek it out.

Vegan In-N-Out?! - Edit
Been waiting to try Malibu's Burgers since they were a pop up and finally had a reason to go. Went on a Thursday around 4:45pm and there wasn't a line! We received our food in less than 10 minutes after ordering. I got the classic Malibu Burger, tots, "chicken" tenders, and a cookies and cream milkshake. The burger was pretty standard, but still really good. "Chicken" tenders were bomb!! The tots and fries were average, but the milkshake was AMAZING!!!! So creamy, rich, and delicious. Haven't had as good of a milkshake since going vegan. Malibu's is definitely worth a try if you're in the area!
