Tasty food

It’s quite hard to find 100% vegan restaurant in the north so we decided to take a special trip to visit “Makom”.
The place has chilled hippy vibe and lots of room.
The food was good, little bit of everything in one plate. There definitely were some interesting and uncommon flavors. Everything is made from scratch, including bread, cheese, tofu and tempeh.
Some things I didn’t like though: 1) there was a hair in my food 2) the place is located in the closed kibbutz area so when we finished and left we found ourselves next to the locked gate. When I tried to call our hosts several times they simply didn’t answer the phone. I mean they had my number, we texted before our arrival and we literally left like a minute ago… In the end we succeeded to get out with a help of a local who opened the gate for us.
So the food was good but overall experience was kinda weird.

Pros: 100% vegan

Cons: Not so clean, Private territory and you’re on your own there

Excellent food in unique location!

The hosts cooked us a private dinner. It was very unique and romantic. It is not only the food, it's the whole experience.
You should book a meal in advance. (At least 2 hours notice)

Pros: Excellent vegan homemade food, Intimate dinner, Very lovely hosts

Cons: None

GO THERE!

First, the place is located at an amazing village with a beautiful view. Second, the food was AMAZING! We got a massive plate with a variety of home made 100% gluten free whole vegan food, followed by tea and desserts. Atmosphere was beautiful and relaxed. The hosts explained about all the food they made, and we also bought cottage vegan cheese and buckwheat bread to take home 🤤🥰

Pros: Home-like atmosphere , Tasty healthy gluten free vegan food, Fair pricing

Cons: Not accessible by public transport

Cafe Makom

Not just the best coffee for miles around, also fantastic vegan food, lovingly prepared from the finest ingredients. Very creative, colourful and highly flavourful dishes, generous servings and super friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Feels like coming home. Very family friendly. There is also a selection of musical instruments and very often an impromptu jam session. Cafe Makom is probably the best restaurant in the world - 10/10 *****

Pros: Great food, Great coffee, Super friendly

Cons: Not open every day, You won't want to leave

The best vegan restaurant in the area

We came here to celebrate my wifes birthday. Most of us are vegan but even my father in law, a devoted carnist who coulnd stop complainig on the way over was pleased with the food. They make the best gluten free bread we stalked up for weeks the price was good, the wine was good. We are definitely comming back.

Healthy and tasty

Cafe makom serves healthy and very tasty food. All the dishes are locally-made, fresh and can fit different types of diets (Gluten free, no sugar....).
And, on top of all, the atmosphere is great. Want to play some music? Just pick an instrument and join in. Want to read? There are many books on the shelves. Kids will find some games and toys. And the view is amazing :)

Pros: Excellent food, Great atmosphere, Fresh materials

Cons: Not cheap, as it is all hand made, It requires a ride to get there
