Excellent Vietnamese/Chinese fusion place with an extensive Vegetarian menu that is clearly labeled. Many of the vegetarian options are also vegan, and even some of the items that aren't on the vegetarian menu are vegetarian/vegan anyways. I ordered the Bun Xao Rau Cai (#60) and absolutely loved it. Great variety, delicious food, and excellent service.
There is a vegetable section of the dinner menu which most of the entrees can be made vegan, which is excellent! Also our server was knowledgeable about vegan options and attentive. However, I wasn’t impressed by either vegan specific entree I tried (142: golden tofu with peanuts, mushrooms, coconut milk, lemon grass, curry and 155: golden tofu with onions and tamarind). Entrees are pricey and lacked that wow-ness for me.
Authentic Vietnamese and Chinese food. On the Vietnamese dinner menu there is a whole vegetarian section and many of the dishes on it are also vegan, just make sure to ask your server. I got #142, or Dau Hu Xao Lan, which is a dish of golden tofu w/ veggies in a coconut milk curry sauce, served with plenty of rice. So good! And enough that I had to take some home. We also got vegetable spring rolls as an appetizer, which aren't technically on the menu, but there is an option to request that they only have veggies in them. They also have fresh soy milk to drink which is less boring than it sounds, so sweet and creamy! Our server was nice but wasn't very attentive, although they were very busy so it was understandable. I will definitely be going back with more of my family!
Has a Vietnamese AND Chinese menu with veg sections. Everyone raves about Mai Lee and it is in a great location in Brentwood if you're out running errands so there's no reason not to try it once. The environment just seems crowded and busy, not much decor. However, I did go during lunch time!! This might not always be the case.
I got the fresh spring rolls which were good- if you don't like cilantro, make sure you let them know because there was a lot of it!! My girlfriend got pad thai which didn't blow me away but was good. Server was nice but only came back once (bc she was super busy)
