Authentic Indian food - Edit
I had the pleasure of eating at Maharaja. Located in downtown Ramle, the restaurant is conveniently located and there's plenty of on-street parking in the vacinity. In front of the restaurant is a store featuring Israeli and imported Indian food products.
Read moreI had the thali platter with mango lassi (55₪). The platter contained 4 dishes, rice and two types of bread. All were delicious. The peas, carrots and cauliflower dish was very spicy. The eggplant was really my favorite.
Service was fast and courteous.
The restaurant proports to be kosher, is closed on shabbat, and the owner wears a kippa, but they do not have formal kosher supervision.
Prices were fair - not cheap but not expensive - in my opinion.
Will definitely be returning!
Pros: Tasty food, Authentic
Cons: No kosher certification

In need of restocking, headed to Maharajah in Ramla to buy the dal, spices and other Indian items needed to satisfy my Indian food cravings.

Pros: authentic, very tasty Indian food , generous portions at cheap to reasonable prices, friendly staff, helpful in restaurant and shop
Cons: not in Tel Aviv - want palak paneer more often!, too many delicious sweets to choose from, did I mention they have khulfi and its not in TA?

Rstaurant Closed! - Edit
While still selling Indian packaged foods, condiments and preparations, the restaurant was closed this past September 2015. We visited on 28 November 2015.

maharaja indian - Edit
I have eaten here over the last 2 years about 100 times! The place is cheap and delicious, the service is always friendly but can be very slow! They also sell every spice and ingredient you need to cook indian food, the owner is the biggest importer for rice, spices etc.
