On confirme ce qui a été dit sur l'accueil. Le patron est une personne solaire, d'une grande bonté.

Concernant le prix, c'est effectivement cher. Ceci dit, le patron (qui est également le serveur, le cuisinier, etc..) tient un projet, en Inde, de scolarisation. L'argent va donc être utilisé à bon escient.

A very warm welcome from the host and the food matched it. No menu, you get what he decides to cook, which is not a problem as it was all excellent. Cash (or Twint) only. Highly recommend a visit if you are anywhere near Sion.

Il n’y a pas de menu, ce que nous avons mangé était délicieux (un plat de lentilles, un de tofu, un de légumes un naan). Bonne tisane également. Le propriétaire est très gentil. Un peu cher (25.-/personne) mais 100% vegan et excellente nourriture.

We enjoyed our visits to Chez Chander. It appears there is no menu, basically a thali special for lunchtime. Tasty, we also got vegan mango lassi and samosas.

Very attentive and friendly owner who likes to work on his own. So you get delicious vegan food, no desert and discussions about the state of the world we live in. Very nice atmosphere. Has been operating for over 20 years.

There is no menu, so you only get what the chef prepared for the day. He asks if you are very hungry or not and then you get a starter, which is CHF 22.- and very small. The main course was very expensive too (CHF 30.- per person) for only some vegetables and lentils ...

We had lunch on 13.03.19 at Maharadja Chez Chander an it was fingerlicking good. The meal was all vegan and cooked with a lot of passion and know how. The owner even kept the place open 15min longer for us, even though he had to open his organic foodstall in the heart of Sion. We will be back for sure 🥰

This is rare to have such a good vegan restaurant in Wallis/Valais. The portions are small but the taste is rich. The tenant is alone to manage the kitchen and service simultaneously, which explains the unique menu.

Small place with very authentic atmosphere. But You have only one food choice ( the food which a chef already prepared for that day), but that is not such a big problem. Problem is at least one hour waiting for a food, chai tea seems to be for free but at the end we were asked if we want to pay for it ( what was a little bit confusing). At the beginning the chef is asking you if you are very hungry and when you answer YES you will get some starter , otherwise you have to wait for main course without knowing this procedure. and the last thing is small portion of food. For 30 CHF for plate I would wait more food. But food was good, not perfect but good.

Good veggie Indian rest in Valais - Edit
Three years ago we couldn't succeed in finding a vegetarian restaurant in or around Sion on the HappyCow website. Just accidentally found this small Indian veggie rest. It serves very good Indian food and you can drink as much as you like Chai tea for free. The owner is very friendly. We were surprised with several different dishes and all of us did like it very much. Unfortunately it was our last holiday-day, otherwise we would definitely come back again.
