Best Indian Healthy restaurant in Ottawa - Edit
Mahal Tanjore serves healthy and authentic South Indian food. Some of the food dishes that are popular are- Veg uttapam, Idly (with coconut chutney), South Indian Daal with chapati, Gobi manchurian, Dosa (over 50 varieties), especially dry fruit dosa and mocktails.

Fresh spices, very veg-friendly - Edit
Absolutely delicious, the spices tasted so fresh! Much of the menu is veg friendly - delicious dosas and masalas. Gluten-free options are also clearly marked. The server was very knowledgeable about veganism and had great suggestions for dishes based on our conversation. I will definitely visit again.

A wonderful restaurant! At least a third of the menu is vegan, and there is a lot for people who need gluten free. South Indian food has distinct spicing, and I came away very happy. The eggplant bajhis and the dosas are delicious.

excellent dosa - Edit
We went to Thanjai on a Saturday evening, and it was quite busy but we still got excellent service. We started with steamed idli - light and fluffy - and deep fried lentil donuts. Not the healthiest choice, but delicious. We then each had a dosa - I had channa masala and my partner had a potato and chilli combo. There were loads of vegan options so we'll try another (probably equally delicious) dosa or two on our next visit.

None of the desserts were vegan, but we were too full to eat one anyway.
