OK food, poorly staffed - Edit
Food was ok, very simple dishes. Several clearly marked vegan options, though I had to return a dish because they used animal cheese. Restaurant has around 20 tables and only 2 waiters, had to wait around 30 min just to get them to seat me and take my order even with available tables. They are very understaffed and service was very poor because of that.
Read morePros: Vegan options clearly marked
Cons: Food doesn't really merit the price tag, understaffed, slow service, triple check your dish with the waiters if vegan

This is a terrific restaurant - Edit
Beautiful restaurant with great food. Menu marked with allergens including dairy and eggs, and which of those can be prepared without. 3 satisfied people.

Ok food but odd service - Edit
The food was okay bit the service was odd. And a big minus for not serving tap water as an alternative. There was also a smell of scented candles that made me feel nauseous and also made an negative impact of the food experience.

Nice place. Good amount of vegan options in a town with not too many - Edit
We were welcomed even without reservation. Server seemed busy and not too patient. Food was ok, but too oily and pizza with too much cheese which masked the taste of the bread and veggies

Alright - Edit
Vegetarian menu with clear symbols for various allergens. However I thought I saw a couple of dishes that may have been incorrectly missing the dairy symbol next to it. I got the wok fried noodles with veggies, which didn’t have too much flavour. My husband got a burger with vegan cheese that he seemed happy with. Portions were large but I was disappointed with the lack of flavour in my meal. However as one of the only vegetarian restaurants in the city it was nice to have an option.

Beautiful - Edit
I had the mushroom lasagne without cheese which was fantastic - up there with the best pasta dishes I have ever tasted next to a dish I once had in Rome. My boyfriend is a meat eater but is always happy to eat vegetarian/vegan and was very happy with his mushroom, pesto and goats cheese pizza. The homemade warm bread was delicious and the overall experience was friendly, authentic and moorish. Highly recommend.

Great location and really good food. - Edit
This is a lovely spacious restaurant. The service was excellent but we are early diners. Food was excellent, roasted veg (not especially hot) followed by moussaka (me) and seitan cordon bleu (husband). Mine was delicious but I didn't get dauphinoise potatoes with mine. No room for dessert but back for a second time so maybe then.

Excellent food, service and atmosphere - Edit
This is some of the best vegetarian and vegan food I’ve ever had with large portions as well. The chef offered a free sample plate that was unexpected and so amazing. The chef even wrote down the ingredients for one of the dishes we loved when we asked so we can try to make it ourselves at home. The waitress, despite taking care of the entire restaurant by herself, was kind, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was very relaxing, not loud like a lot of restaurants today, and rather upscale which I didn’t expect. I wish I lived near Toledo to come back more since it’s so hard to find good vegetarian food. Keep up the good work!

Nice restaurant, with a few shortcomings - Edit
We were surprised with the lack of vegetarian/vegan possibilities in Toledo. Madre Tierra stands alone in a meat filled city (where MD and BK are even located on the main square...😒). The menu is fairly basic, with far more vegetarian options than vegan. In the back of the menu the vegan options are seperately named, which are mostly veganized vegetarian menu items. And only the most basic ones. So enough to choose from, but very basic. We had the salmorejo (thick cold tomato soup) for starters and a salad for main. The presentation was nice, and the ingredients used fresh and nice. Hence our dissapointment with the incredible amount of salt used, especially in both salads. Totally unnecesary, since salt can be added at the table by who wants it.

Pros: Friendly staff, Decent amount of vegan options
Cons: Incredible amount of salt, Only basic vegan options

Very good food - Edit
We had a very good experience last night here. The waiter was friendly, but did not tell us the starters were huge and for two people one starter is more than enough. The main dishes were delicious, and again too large to finish. The waiter recommended a very good wine for the food we had ordered.

Moser terrible Vegan Restaurant in Europe - Edit
We ordered a salad and vegan hamburger. We did complain that the hamburger was burned. and 15 minutes instead of burned hamburger we got not cooked mash. We complained to waiter but got a smile instead of the apology. This terrible restaurant and do not recommend it to anyone.

Waiter from Faulty Towers - Edit
From the minute we walked in, this restaurant felt wrong. There was no welcoming greeting and when we changed tables to a bigger one ( the place was empty bar one table) we were told we couldn't sit there as it was only for 4 people (we were 2). The waiter became angry and stubborn and continued to be unreasonable. We decided not to eat there. Additionally the menu was very uninspiring.

Quite good food - Edit
I went for lunch on Monday and Wednesday afternoons in May 2019. The meal of the day included choice of a salad or a soup, the main plate choice which was either spaghetti or rice with vegetables, and a choice between a bottle of mineral water, a beer, or a glass of wine. There was also a dessert included which was the most delicious brownie I've ever had and it came with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. The price of the meal was 13.50€ including tax. This was a good deal compared to what I paid for a similar meal in Madrid. The service was a bit slow but there is only one waiter in the entire restaurant. The choices for meal of the day were nearly identical on both days. There is also a regular menu you can order from a la carte. Ordering the salad and the rice gives you very little protein.

Fantastic gazpacho - Edit
This vegetarian restaurant offers an extensive menu that identifies many different allergens. Lots of their dishes are offered or can be made vegan. The gazpacho was probably the best we had during our time in Spain. We also had the warm spinach salad, and the vegan lasagna both of which were tasty. The location is on a tiny side street.

A good find in a surprise location - Edit
It is fabulous to find a vegetarian restaurant in Toledo! We had a wok-made rice noodle vegetable stir-fry and a veggie burger. Both were good and appetizing. The restaurant bills itself as opening at 1pm. We had a reservation for 1pm. When we walked in at 12:56, we were told that the restaurant did not open until 1pm. We returned four minutes later, were seated, but then had to wait twenty minutes to have our order taken (while the wait staff finished their lunches). I had to finally flag down a waiter. Our meals finally came 25 minutes later. So, we did not start eating until 1:45, when we had arrived at 1:00. That was a long and frustrating wait. But, to have a vegetarian restaurant in such an isolated location is a blessing. So, it was with the wait.

Pros: Many vegan options
Cons: Slow service., Noisy., not good quality dishes (especially dessert).
