Loved this little vegan bakery so much that I used to go down there every Saturday morning when it was still in SE London. The cinammon buns are to die for (just the best I’ve ever had, vegan or otherwise), the chocolate brownies are absolutely delectable and an amazing selection of savoury options too which are all worth trying!
I was soooo sad when Made from Plants relocated, but South London’s loss is definitely Margate’s gain and luckily they offer UK mail order via Etsy, delivered on Fridays. Give this small vegan business a bit of love if you get the chance!
I’ve been here several times and have never been disappointed. The banana mylkshake, chocolate cupcake, cinnamon bun, etc. It’s quant but mighty in flavor. And the lady who works there is very polite. I can only imagine how hard she works on perfecting such works of art.
Made from plants is amazing ! The sausage rolls and cinnamon buns are my favourite and everything else I’ve tried from here has also been great. Most of the times I’ve been here the cakes and pastries are still warm out the oven, that’s how fresh it is. This place is a small independent business and no vegan chain can do anything tastier or more fresh than here. The menu changes a bit which I really like, it’s nice to try new things each time. There’s always savoury pastries, buns cakes and cupcakes. Dry goods/ fridge items also on sale.
A good selection of reasonably priced, freshly baked vegan goods. I got a sausage roll, cinnamon bun. And some kind of pizza bun. All were excellent.
Take away only, except for a tiny table with two chairs outside. Be aware that it looks closed, even when it's open, so make sure to try the door before thinking that it's closed.
Surprised there’s not more places like this in the area. I had a cinnamon bun to go which was warm sticky and delicious. I have some sausage rolls to try later. Will be back for sure! 👍🏼
Delicious, soft cinnamon buns, and nice sausage roll. The pastry was good, and the filling was nice, not like some of the sausage rolls you get with soft beans and tomato. Really nice! Had cookies, choc and orange brioche, mini pizzas, and some more things. Also a few other items for sale like keep cups, cheeses. Will visit again!
so happy to have found this place! I have tried both savoury and sweet here and all has been delicious. Special mention must go out to the glorious cinnamon buns!
Tiny little counter shop but packed with really tasty vegan treats and at a very reasonable price. Love it. The orange and chocolate brioche is incredible.
So happy to discover this place round the corner from me. Great range of fresh vegan baked goods (savoury and sweet) plus a small range of vegan cheeses, tofu and other products. I had the pesto & veg pizza and some chocolate orange cake and both were absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back!
I love the cinnamon rolls! The pastry in the No Chick In Pie was divine.
Also, it's really handy to be able to purchase vegan cheeses, vegan meats etc.
I shall be returning for more delights!
Really nice little shop with a regularly changing wide array of baked goods. Delicious cakes and savoury items. The pastry is excellent, it's very impressive that it's made with no butter. Prices are reasonable, most things e.g. Sausage roll, slice of cake etc. cost a couple of quid.
They also stock a small selection of vegan goods to buy, the highlight being Tyne Chease which is delicious (though quite pricey so has to be viewed as an occasional treat)
