I've tried to drink a coffein free coffee. (Couldn't finish it...) I couldn't get an espresso, it was mixed with some plant based milk. Honestly, it was seriously bad. I have also tried real coffee, it was better, but I would never pay for it again, sorry... 😬😕

Had a sandwich for breakfast with some vegan egg mash which was good and had just the right amount of "eggness". The staff were soo friendly and the whole place had a very nice atmosphere so it was a shame we didn't have time to sit longer.

I went there around 12:30-13pm and they had no pastries or barely anything vegan left and the kitchen wasn't open. So I only got coffee and left quite unhappy, because they charge a pretty high fee for plant milk - but the restaurant presents itself as a vegan/vegetarian bussines, so I don't get this..

We stopped here twice for a really high quality coffee made with oat milk, they also had vegan croissants and a selection of healthy cakes and treats. Would recommend for a snack and a nice drink!

One of my favourite cafés in Budapest - Edit
I come here regularly and bring my friends to enjoy the lovely drinks and cakes here. I love everything about Madal: the service, the selection of food and drinks, and the entire vibe of the place. My favourite is the dirty chai latte: chai served with oat milk and a shot of espresso. Please visit!

We went to two different Madal places already on the first two days of our trip. This one is right around the corner of our hostel and we had a great breakfast. Peaceful and quiet ambiance, kind staff, many options to choose from. We had ceasar sandwich and one other type of sandwich, along with cold brew, and it was the perfect start of the day

We had more coffees than we can count during our 15 days in Budapest, and these were some of the best. Good quality coffee with Oatly, my favorite milk for coffee. The service was also efficient and friendly - even when my husband accidentally spilled half his latte when putting on a cover for take away. They even made him a new one. One of my favorite Budapest coffee spots!

They had vegan wholemeal crossiants, with or without a citrus jam filling. Very tasty. The coffee with oat milk was good (no soya milk option). There was a couple of cake options available too.
