10 minute drive from Faro to Bordeira on the lovely Algarve country side. The restaurant is located on a hill with a stunning view to the sea. Once we arrived Valentina welcomed us inside and was very helpful in every possible detail. Chef Gomes spoke with us before we ordered. This chef is a living legend! When i became vegetarian back in 2001 chef Gomes was the only cooking awesome vegetarian/vegan food in Faro and even in the Algarve, much respect here!
We had couvert, soup, main course ( curry tofu with vegetables and baked potatoes) , desert and coffee for just 11 euros per person.
Nowadays there’s a lot of vegetarian and vegan restaurants in the Algarve but this chef at Macjetes has all that Jazz in his hands that others cannot match.
We also have to mention that Valentina and the rest of the team provided us a great and lovely customer service..
We’ll be back for sure !

Nice treat and a peculiar chef - Edit
The restaurant is in a quite lovely place, with nice views to the countryside. There's possibility to eat outside (terrace) or indoors.
Read moreBy the time I was there, there were 3 or 4 veggie/vegan dishes in the menu.
Nice to try for the experience, not a place to repeat with frequency (few options available).
Pros: Views, good wine list
Cons: Somewhat expensive, vegan options "regular"

Nice restaurant between the mountains and the sea - Edit
Restaurant with warm and familiar atmosphere, very good service and well decorated space. On the menu was only one vegan dish, but there were other options. I ate smoked tofu with coriander sauce, pasta and vegetables. I especially like coriander sauce. The menu was 10€ per person, and includes drinks, dessert, soup, appetizers and coffee.
