Good coffee - Edit
My partner and I were here around April last year.
Read moreGot the impression the guy here doesn't like non-locals... Made an effort to constantly remind us he opened this place for his neighbours. Mate if you don't want to serve us just say so and we'll gladly let others know and go spend our money elsewhere.
My partner said the pie was good though, and the coffee was nice. So there's that. Cool looking place with nice decor, just didn't feel very welcoming.
Pros: Coffee
Cons: Not very welcoming

Great - Edit
Laura the piemaker has retired to pursue other life!
Read moreDave the barista is still there, he does coffee/beer/slices but NO pies.
It is not a restaurant.
He also does not do social media.
The coffee shop caters for low volume visitors and locals and attached is the bulk food co-op which operates every Saturday 10am to midday. Sometimes there is even excess fresh produce when in season.
Pros: Great coffee, Friendly locals, Nice and warm in winter
Cons: The speeding traffic breaking the speed limit out

Coffee good pies none to be seen - Edit
My girlfriend has never been so devastated in the time I have known her. We discussed pies on the long, arduous hike that morninga- specifically different textures and flavour combinations. She was consoled with a nice oat milk flat white but the void in her heart and stomach remains unfilled

Pies are seasonal - Edit
Nice coffee - be aware the pies are only seasonal (summer/busy season) so you are not disappointed like we were. Groovy place

What a gem - Edit
Given its location, the fact this place exists is enough for five stars. Add in the chilled vibe, incredible pies (they change daily) and great coffee, this is a must do while on Bruny Island. The guy running it is living an incredible lifestyle and is great for a chat. Had non-vegans coming through and saying they were the best pies they've ever had.

I love the vibe of this place! It’s so cosy and welcoming. I had a delicious tagine pie and chai latte. Would happily go back

Best Pies in Tasmania - Edit
The most groovy place on Bruny Island for coffee, breakfast, lunch (and dinner on Saturday night). The vegan pies are incredible so much creative flavour and amazing value. The place has a funky layback surf vibe totally worth the trip down to the south end of the island. They also serve fresh local Tasmanian beer and cider!

Amazing pies, amazing space - Edit
The pies here are inventive and incredibly satisfying. We had the Rendang Mushroom pie and it was very tasty and warming on a cold rainy day. We stumbled upon this place as we were leaving Bruny Island and we were glad it existed. Had we known earlier we would have had visited multiple times. We will be back!
