Vegan selections with a bang

Sat with a bang because there are a lot of saucy, starchy options at Lulu's. If your watching your intake go with a salad, Brussels or the carnitas which are on the lighter side. The also have vegan baked goods, coffee, sparkling sofa & a few other beverages. I opt for H2O so I can't be specific.

Great scenery, corner location & outdoor seating in spring/summer months. Nice for the entire family to enjoy.

Comfort Food With A Healthy Twist!

The volcano tots were amazing! I love that the cheese sauce was made with butternut squash. It helped me feel better about my decision to eat out. Sure, tots aren’t healthy, but it was sooo good! I also had the sweet potato falafel and was not disappointed. The service was courteous and swift at a very busy time. Make a point to visit when you’re in St. Louis. You won’t be disappointed!

Amazing Food and Service

We ordered the loaded nacho tots, loaded nacho crunch wrap, and the buffalo blue burger and all of it was amazing. The cashier was super nice and our food was out in less than 10 minutes.

Pros: Amazing Food, Great Service

great food, fantastic prices

I loved Lulu’s for the simple fact that it is comfort food. Just because food is vegan doesn’t mean it has to be super expensive or have unapproachable ingredients. Lulu’s appeals to my meat-eating friends and family.

Cons: needs more condiments (ketchup)

Good Food

Good little vegan restaurant in the hip Tower Grove neighborhood. I got a burger and some tots. The tots and the burger bun were a bit on the greasy side, but otherwise this was a worthwhile stop.

Pros: 100% Vegan

Cons: Greasy

Good food, ok service

I have to be gluten free, so it's hard to find vegan food that tastes good and won't make me sick. They definitely delivered on that. All the gluten free options are marked, so I could quickly decide what to get without asking a bunch of questions.

However, the service could be a lot better. They brought out my food at least 5 minutes after the other person I was with was done eating his. They didn't let us know that there was a delay until we asked.

Pros: Everything's vegan, Gluten free options

Cons: Poor service

Bad service

Absolutely deplorable phone manners from 3 different people i’ve talked to when placing an order. I though liberals were supposed to be nice considering most people who probably work there are due to all the left signs on the doors and inside !

one of my favorites in the country

Their buffalo blue burger is my favorite thing I've ever eaten. I was in heaven. This place is awesome, entirely vegan, full of great vibes, great atmosphere, reasonable prices, quick service even when they're busy, and has food you may not find elsewhere.

Dog city

I visited with my girlfriend - a newly turned vegan - after a seven-hour drive to St. Louis from Indiana. We were so happy to finally arrive that we sat outside in the fresh air, under the fairy lights and surrounded by dogs!! It was an added bonus. I got the loaded nachos and Lucy got the pesto mac and cheese with a side of tater tots. The portions were all pretty small in size but were all pretty filling!! The nachos were made with blue corn chips which were unique and an added twist. They also did birthday cake cups which is my favourite flavour of anything but we didn't get one to try because I was paying. It was pretty busy though, and they ran out of food quite quickly.

Pros: good food, allows and encourages dogs! , pretty decoration

Cons: busy and loud, ran out of pasta, lack of communication between staff

Best exclusively vegan place in STL

Lulu's is great when it comes to simple vegan foods. The portions are large and the food is fresh. The environment is cool, they play good music and the workers seem happy. They do kind of lack meat substitutes other than jackfruit and cauliflower. No tempeh or seitan.

Pros: All the ingredients are listed and portions are la

Cons: It is kind of expensive if you are buying for two.

Lulu

We ordered two kids menus (mini burgers), the buffalo blue burger and the nachos wrap. Kids burgers were really spicy, so my girls could only eat two bites. The buffalo burger was ok, also quite spicy and no so big. The nachos wrap very tasty and crunchy

Pros: Variety, Vegan desserts

Cons: Kids food really spicy, Small dishes

Our Go-To Restaurant

We visit Lulu's at least once a week (and went way more often when we lived in the neighborhood). The menu changes with the seasons (Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter) and I'm always bummed right before the menu changes because I'll miss my favorite dishes, and then I remember how much I love everything they make. In the Summer my favorites are the Thai Crunch Wrap and the Chipotle Black Bean Bowl, in the Winter it's the Winter Flat Bread and Nacho Crunch Wrap. Literally though I would eat anything on the menu (and have). The only downside is that most everything on the Spring/Summer menu is spicy so bringing my mother or mother-in-law here doesn't work well.

Pros: Delicious vegan food, Reasonably Priced

Cons: Not open on Sunday, Can be loud or hot inside

worth it!

We are from out of town and decided to support the local STL vegan restaurants. We ordered the jackfruit tacos, cauliflower buffalo wings, and Thai wrap our first time. They were all good. But, when we couldn't get to another restaurant due to holiday parade traffic, we decided to give it another try. AMAZING! My husband LOVED the mushroom gyro and the buffalo cauliflower wrap was terrific. Raw cookies were delicious. Will definitely return when in town.

yum!

This place is SO good. I don't eat soy because it disrupts my PCOS, but I had heard amazing things about this place so I neglected doctor's orders. I ordered the cauliflower wings and the black bean bowl to go. The wings were SO good and the sauce was on point. Such a treat. I could eat those nonstop. The bowl was extremely tasty, too- the sauce was paired perfectly with the fixings and the beans had an amazing smoky taste. Mind blowing!

Pros: tasty

Cons: lots of soy

we love this place!

This is one of our favorite restaurants - good, hearty food, big portions, at a reasonable price. We can feed a family of four for under $30, all of it high-quality ingredients. The sauces are excellent. I don't think there is any dish we don't like (and we've had most). Only drawback is that a lot of the food is too spicy for our kids' taste, but they could eat the cauliflower bites all day.

(update 2017: Just want to add that we took my brother's non-vegetarian family to eat at Lulu's, they all enjoyed their meals and would like to go back.)

Lulu's is amazing! I had it for the first time today and definitely was not disappointed. We had the buffalo cauliflower bites as an appetizer. I had the Thai crunch wrap and a cupcake. The others in my party had the sweet potato black bean burger and the chipotle black bean bowl. Everything was delicious and good sized portions. I can't wait to return!

Pros: fresh, amazing vegan food , atmosphere was unique and welcoming; nice patio , wait time wasn't bad

Tasty Food!

My husband and I were back home visiting family and decided to stop in this place. We had just stopped eating meat and my husband was still a little unsure if he was going to be able to fully make the change. He mind was completely changed after this meal. He loved everything we had and we have been going strong for four months now. We plan to stop in the next time we are in St Louis.

Pros: Great Food, Friendly Service

Delicious quick meal!

This eatery was delicious! We came in on a rainy, chilly day and we're looking for some comfort food. Had the mac n cheese (with butternut squash cheez pesto sauce on top), the buffalo cauliflower bites, and the jackfruit nacho tots. Everything was delicious, and we didn't leave stuffed -- just satisfied. They also have larger entrees (we had mostly starters), and some desserts from a local vegan bakery. They were out of their coffee, however, so no coffee drinks were available. They also have beer & wine available!

Pros: Good sized portions, Fair prices
