Adorable cafe with great food - Edit
Very attractive and welcoming cafe. Felt very authentic as a tourist. The food all looked incredible but we only had croissants (one with vegan cheese!) and coffee. So tasty. Happy customers!

Right in the heart of the historic centre and next to a canal, some tables have canal views. Food is good and staff are friendly.

Wij gingen hier ontbijten, we namen van alles, lekkere kaas croissants, chocoladebroodjes, thee en granola. Het is heel lekker en de bediening is erg vriendelijk. Heerlijk ook zo'n volle theepot! Beste croissants die ik heb gegeten sinds ik vegan ben.

Na een nachtje wildkamperen hier heen gegaan voor een ontbijt. En wat een heerlijk ontbijt was dit! Croissants met kaas, heerlijke granola en een grote pot thee! Het chocolade broodje was ook erg smakelijk! Echt een top plek met een top ontbijt! Interieur is ook erg leuk met de vintage look.

Delicious sweet treats. We tried the chocolate croissant and the pecan pie last time, and the quiche, salad and cinnamon roll this time—all delicious. Coffee was tasty and service friendly.

A lovely place for a break from sightseeing - Edit
We ended up here for lunch because the restaurant we were aiming for was closed for a private catering, so we were pretty late and they were almost sold out – there was only one sandwich type left, so I was a bit disappointed, but the sandwich itself was awesome. We then came back later in the afternoon for a coffee and a piece of cake (we had eyed the cakes earlier) and the sweets were delicious. The location is fabulous, right on the canal, and the food is very good, which explains why this place is so popular. The prices are a bit high, but this is the case everywhere in this area.

Ik bestelde het Ludo Ontbijt en dat was een goede keus: heerlijke koffie, verse sinaasappelsap, een glas granola met sojayoghurt en een chocoladebroodje. Ik heb nog nooit zo'n goed vegan chocoladebroodje gegeten als hier. Het kan zich bijna meten aan de chocoladebroodjes die ik vroeger op vakantie in Frankrijk at.

Kousek od centra. Pěkný výhled u vody. Nikdo neumí anglicky tak že vám bohužel nikdo nepomůže a nezodpoví jaký koliv dotaz. Ani snaha komunikace, což je velká škoda.

We had the pea sandwich and the curry sandwich - both were delicious. Waitress was very happy to help translate the menu and help with my nut allergy. Lovely eclectic interior and views of the river.

We choose this place because of the sunny outdoor terrace. Perfect in the morning for a coffee break. We tried two of the cakes but we're a bit disappointed. They lacked flavour and the texture was not really refined (sugar bombs mainly).

Midnight lasagna & esma - Edit
I love this place as much as I loved their previous one (Billie Bonka). Don't expect a fine-dining experience, but come here for no-nonsense vegan sandwiches, coffee and desserts, as well as the deliciously classic lasagna that you can even still order at midnight, which was a blessing during Gentse Feesten. They also make exquisite esma's (espresso martini). Must try! We come here often with non-vegan friends as well and were never disappointed.
