Delicious cookie

Picked up a peanut butter and dark chocolate cookie to take on my hike, one of the best cookies I’ve ever had! It was the only vegan option the day that we went, none of the savoury pastries were, which was a shame, but rate it nonetheless!

Beautiful Focaccia Sandwiches

This place was perfect for picking up a sandwich for a long walk, unfortunately it was closed on the days that we wanted to buy some lunches for hikes, but we did manage to grab a sandwich which was a welcome treat at the services on our long journey home. They also had some vegan baked goods (black bean and tahini roll) which sounded tasty.

The vegan sandwich option is a Coronation Chickpea sandwich, which tasted light and delicious and the focaccia was just outstanding. I also got the vegan peanut butter and chocolate cookie which surprised me as the peanut butter was incorporated into the batter instead of it being a lump in the middle - tasted great! Was beautiful dunked in a hot tea.

Would highly recommend coming here for lunch if you are in Grasmere!

Cons: Closed middle of the week

Nice vegan options

A small cafe and bakehouse that also supplies a small takeaway hatch around the corner. Pleasant service and a nice small selection of vegan options. Stracciatlla ice-cream had good chunks of crispy chocolate to enjoy. Vegan sausage roll, chocolate cake and cookies looked very good and were a fair portion size.

Pros: Freshly baked, A few options, Good price and portion size
