Vegan resturant in the mall?!

I AM SO HAPPY THAT THERE IS A VEGAN RESTAURANT IN THE MALL. The food is yummy, it's an awesome value. There is even ice cream. The orange chicken is bomb. The lucky curry is really, really yummy.

Pros: Good value, Convenient

good mall food

Was really hungry so had the already prepared lemongrass tofu, chow mein, and yellow curry from the case. Good flavors. Enjoyed it.
I was just stoked to find a vegan place in the mall!

Nice addition to mall food court, but a bit greasy

It's nice to have a Loving Hut as an option in Valley Fair, and being that's it's a mall location, I don't have super high expectations. We had the pho - the broth had good flavor, but was a bit too oily for my tastes. It seems they have house-made hoisin sauce though, which is a plus. We also got two items with fried rice from the steam bar. The fried rice was bland and dry, the eggplant tofu lacked flavor, but the tofu lemongrass was delicious. I tried a side of mac and cheese, which was ok, but nothing special. Overall, it's fine if you're hungry and happen to be hanging around the mall, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Pros: Vegan food in a mall!

Cons: Greasy, A bit bland

Non Culty Mall Affair

Basically the same as ask the others but the staff isn't vegan and no monitors hailing the phoney supreme master. The stuff in the stream tray was a bit dry for the dinner shift but the phó is always fantastic.

Pros: Location, Variety, Meal Deals

Cons: Pricey

A bit of Heaven in Valley Fair hell

Nice option in the mall! I was really excited to see that in a food court. My friend exclaimed, "Oh, you're into that sh*t..." and I said "Yep!"

The orange treasure was awesome, with far more orange flavor than normal orange chicken. The potato and carrot yellow curry was nicely flavored. And the fresh brown rice was filling. HUGE portions, too! The server gave me a nice big ice water in one of those biodegradable corn oil cups.

I felt happy and healthy after my meal. My counterpart visited Panda Express for a pretty similar meal(orange chicken, fried rice, and water in a plastic cup) and felt like crap after. ;)

Pros: Orange Treasure, Large portions, biodegradable containers

Loving Hut is always welcome

as a fine addition to any community, finding another loving hut is always an exciting moment. at the newly remodeled food court in valley fair san jose, there is a new abbreviated loving hut, but not quite of the same caliber as the other local shopping mall loving hut in oakridge mall.

at the newest loving hut, there are basic burgers, a salad and two spring rolls, as well as three soups and a hot bar (not self service of course) with maybe 5 items and your choice of fried noodle, white or brown rice. prices are high for the quantity of food you receive, and the hot bar foods were bland, flavorless and jelly-looking, at least late in the day.

service was rusty, as the restaurant has been open only a few weeks. seating is in the communal dining areas inside the food court, as well as a nice but small outdoor area. its very noisy and very crowded depending on the time of day and season i suppose.

ill keep checking back to see if they add some favorites from the other successful loving huts in san jose. i am hoping this will be the case.

Pros: fast service, no one waiting in line to order

Cons: flavorless items (so far), a bit expensive, inexperienced staff
