Vegan Asian food in Iceland

Delicious and inexpensive by Icelandic standards. We had the summer rolls, spring rolls, fried noodles and pho. Everything was delicious and in decent size.
Unfortunately, no desserts. 😬
Parking right in front of the door.
Water for free.

There are no menus at the table. You have to choose what you want from several sheets printed out at the counter. You pay directly at the counter. Then you can sit down. Was a little bit uncozy.

Food came very quickly.

The variety!

This place has a huge selection of dishes, mostly Asian, that are typically made with meat or fish, but they use vegan alternatives to make them. The resemblance to the original dish is astonishing. We were truly amazed.

Pros: Very fair price for the area, Generous portions

Cons: The sauces were a little too sweet for our taste, Still delicious though

Smell of your Asian home

Upon entering the doorway you immediately feel like you are in Asia with all kind of languages being thrown at you. The friendliest of staff, explaining the whole menu vigorously. They are an example for the whole world. Food just as in China, Korea, Vietnam and Thailand. I had the vegan duck and some noodle soup. The duck looked alive, this is how real the food tasted

Pros: All vegan, Asianlicious, Cheap as hell

Cons: Norhing man

Delicious!

100% vegan restaurant with a little shop section. A lot of different options on the menu, predominantly asian cuisine. Staff was very friendly and our food came very quick. Big portions and quite affordable in Iceland. Loved it and hope to come back!

Pros: Fully vegan with lots of options , Large portions, Affordable

Great Option

Ended up going here a few times during my trip, portions were generous, prices were reasonable, and the food was fantastic. Loads of options, the hardest part of my visits was choosing what to eat!

Delicious range of food

Canteen style seating with lots of choice. All the food was fresh, tried to summer rolls, chow mein and beef banh mi. Huge portions and very filling, also prices good for Iceland. Lots of posters on the wall with facts about famous vegans. Also pick up take home items; frozen meat subs, asian cooking staples etc. Further out of the centre but worked well for us for getting picked up for a tour at bus stop 12.

Pros: Lots of choice, Fresh food, Quick

Cons: Location further out, Not very much atmosphere

Generous portions

It was a delicious and comforting meal after a day of travel. I was ravenous so I forgot to take pictures, but the food was visually appealing, well prepared, and served with love!

So many choices!

We tried several dishes, but really impressed with the ‘calamari’ and the seitan ‘chicken’. Spring rolls were perfect.

Pros: Helpful staff, Huge menu

Cons: Quite a bit out of town

Subpar

I was looking forward to finally being able to try a Loving Hut since they have so many different options. I've never tried vegan ham or shrimp before so I was pretty excited.

Between 4 of us, we tried their fried dumplings, summer rolls, beef banh mi, pork banh mi, ocean vermicelli, and fried noodles with veg and chicken.

Summer rolls were my favorite thing, and really the only thing I'd recommend getting. I couldn't stomach more than 2 bites of the pork banh mi (the color of the pork was green and off putting).

Dumplings were good and standard. Beef banh mi was marinated in Chinese five spice.

Shrimp in the ocean vermicelli was interesting. Texture was gelatinous (but solid). Chicken in the fried noodles were a little limp and slimy.

Meh.

Pros: Unique, Friendly staff

All in all okay

The burger was delicious, but the ambience was a bit uncomfortable and it's quite a walk away from the center.

Perfect, but be careful abt schedule

The food was omg - wonderful indeed!!! I swear I could eat here every day :). We had Happy summer and Pad Thai. That's why we came here the second day - but the place was closed even if it was the regular time of their working hours... we were so dissapointed... But the food was Unforgetable.

Pros: Very, but VERY good food, Excelet food😄, Ok prices

Cons: It was closed second day we wanted to eat there, It would need a bit of pimping , Staff doesn't speak english

Very nice food, plenty of options, good flavour and abundant portions! And very honest prices too.
The place is not the fanciest but I would recommend it. I'll pay more visits for sure. Also, they open during Mondays, which is a plus😉

Delicious and fully vegan

There's so much choice and everything looked great! The vegan squid was super crunchy and the pho was delicious (very difficult to eat though!) I will definitely be trying here again before the end of my trip.

Great vegan food, very good value

Can always rely on Loving Hut and this one is no exception. Ordered the golden tofu starter and a fake chicken and tofu noodle dish for mains. Came in at about £16, which for Iceland was very good value, especially as the portions was so substantial I ended up taking quite a lot away with me. This branch also had a couple of Beyond burgers on the menu. It’s a bit canteen like - if I had one criticism, it could do with more atmosphere and less bright lighting, but can’t fault it really.

#notmything

All vegan, All fried

The owner is a nice guy who tried he's best to Talk german with us. That was funny. The food was good but unfortunatelly most of the menu is fried. Well, thats typical for asian fast food dishes. The restaurant is a little bit old. It was a cold day and there was only one electrical heater in the big room.

Pros: Complete vegan menü

Cons: Old
