The decor is modern and rich looking. They have swing seats in the back that I wonder if anyone uses. We went for lunch time on a weekday. It got really busy and loud! I ordered the soup of the day which was delicious and a zucchini pasta plate with truffle sauce (smelled strange but was so tasty!). I love trying on new flavours so it made me happy. The kimchi fries are a must try. My boyfriend ordered a jackfruit burger and said it was just ok.

Pretty much everything on the menu is vegan, including desserts. The place was very busy, even on a Wednesday, so try to get a reservation. Make sure to book the reservation a few hours in advance. The food is very good, though it is on the expensive side. The portions are medium sized. The vegan cheese is very good. The service was fairly fast, considering how busy it was.

Food was delicious! Every dinner dish was made vegan then you could pay extra to add an egg or real cheese. My family ordered a bunch of dishes to try and all were great. My favorite was the mushroom risotto. Only down side was the service was a bit slow. We saw our food sitting under heat lamps for five - ten minutes before our waiter brought it to us (he was busy talking to the other waiters).

First, the good news: When you walk into this beautiful, buzzing restaurant with its funky decor and chattering diners, you feel that plant-based food has arrived. But however gorgeous and inviting a dining space might be, ultimately a restaurant lives or dies by the quality of its food. We had high expectations. Sadly, they were only half-met. The Lox Bagel was nice enough, and vaguely smokey-flavoured, but it lacked oomph. The Tofu Omelette was similarly bland and the Lumberjack, although very good in parts, overly salty. The Pancakes with Apple Sauce looked good but suffered from an over-abundance of cinnamon. Everything was beautifully presented, service was very good and the funky washroom as gorgeous as the dining area. Yet one left with the uneasy feeling that what one had experienced was the triumph of form over function.

We were there at a weekday for lunch and it was all packed! Fortunately we didn't have to wait long to get a table. I had a kale mac-n-cheese and it was delicious! I really like the vibe of the restaurant and clearly it is a popular spot. I look forward to visit LOV again.

We had a few of the small plates since we arrived 15mins before the kitchen opened for dinner. The vegan poutine, jackfruit fritters, and kale Mac n cheese were AMAZING! The LOV Burger and chickpea burger were also amazing!!!! The decor of the place is beautiful and staff could simply not do enough and were SO nice and helpful! Definitely recommend everything about this place! :)

Read moreIf you're going in winter keep your jacket with you because they don't have an adequate coat check. I lost my jacket for a bit because their coat racks toppled over, and when they picked it up they gave my coat to someone else by accident! (Luckily I figured out the error but that could've been a nightmare).
Also, it seems like they have to sort out their online booking system because it was VERY difficult to find an open time slot online, but then I showed up in person at 6pm on a Tuesday night the restaurant was practically empty.
Pros: Very cute decor, Satisfying food
Cons: Slightly expensive, They have a few logistic details to iron out

Tastefully decorated, centrally located, creative and equally delicious food are driving vegans and non vegans to this newly opened restaurant. Their quinoa/jackfruit croquette is superb. We adored the gnochi too. The vegan poutine is probably much healthier than the tradtional one and it tastes sooooo good that it should not disappoint any poutine lover. Highly recommended. I suggest making reservation as it was fully booked first time we tried.
